T.T. Rabbit pouting because he can't play outside.
I usually love rainy days, but for some reason, maybe because of the sad news with the storms in the south and the fires in Oklahoma and earthquake in Italy, it just seemed extra dismal today. Here in this part of Idaho we haven't gotten very much rainfall in the past several years, so we love it when it rains. The town I live in has very large mountains to the north of it and is desert to the south. And I do mean desert. Nothing but sage brush for miles. I always say I live on the edge of Heaven and Hell. The whole area to the north is so beautiful. The mountains are majestic. So to keep everything green and fill our reservoirs, it must rain. So I will not complain.(out loud anyway)
Hi June,
ReplyDeleteMaybe you need to put on an old movie (hope you like them), make some nourishing soup and sit next to TT Rabbit and get some fluff therapy. That's what I do when I'm feeling a little blue. Zeke's always there for a hug when needed. Easter blessings to you. I bet tomorrow you're feeling better, here's a smile your way ;)

Lovely photo, sure gives me piece and quiet. To make you feel better is raining in Rainbow, Ca too. Ciao
ReplyDeleteYour roses are absolutely beautiful. No getting gloomy around those! Your dog is darling.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses you have, and I hope the rain didn't last too long so your little pooch could make it outdoors and play. :)
ReplyDeleteYour photos are pretty with the rain in the background...usually Good Friday is dark and gloomy I find. Today the sun was shining down on us here in Canada which was a treat because we got snow last weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh I love a rainy day...makes me slow down a little and rest, maybe read a book or watch a good old movie.
ReplyDeleteRainy days at your home look beautiful through the camera. I guess you'll get tired of me saying you take great pictures, but as long as you take them, I'll keep saying it! ;)

Hello Judy, it was so nice to have you stop by my blog and leave such a lovely comment....thankyou!
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed your blog today. I shall add it to my list if that's ok?
We are also having a dismal day here but as we also are constantly in need of it I feel I can't complain either.
Beautiful roses and what a very cute dog you have,
Smiles, Angela.
It's raining here today too... wouldn't it be nice if it only rained at night? Sunshine in the daytime and rain at night sounds perfect to me anyway1 I hope you're feeling a little happier now? Your little T T Rabbit is such a sweetie! Give him lots of cuddles and you'll both feel happier.
ReplyDeleteIt must be amazing scenery where you live, June - what a dramatic contrast you describe in your post! I send you lots of hugs and love and I hope the rest of your Easter is a happy, joyous time... Vxx
June, for once it is sunny over here where I live and warm outside, it is a campground owner's dream weather for Easter weekend, so we are booked solid. But you sounded so sad with the rain, that I am sending over a big armful of sunshine for you and an extra big hug to boost your spirits!! Your T T Rabbit is just adorable, and I love the sofa that he is allowed to sleep on. What a lovely wonderful pattern! It suits you!! Your description of your area reminded me a bit of Tenerife where my daughter was, mountains, but lava rock and a bit of desert thrown in for good measure. I had no idea that Idaho was like that. Well, we learn something every day don't we!
ReplyDeletethank you for your comment on my last post. I had to smile my way right thru the whole thing, it was so delightfully written!!
I wish you and your family a Happy Easter, and a bit of sunshine on its way to you, shipped with express mail from over here!! :-) Take care, and have a lovely weekend. Debby
p.s. June, send me an email (click into my profile and the link for my email is there) and let me know what you email address is, if that is okay. I would like to send you an email with some extra comments!! Debby
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Roses, June!
ReplyDeleteThe fires here in Oklahoma have killed so many and left family after family destitute and homeless. We pray for rain this very moment...it's so difficult to watch people lose everything they hold close and dear! This year I'm all the more thankful that for whatever the reason, my family was spared such loss. Still, it doesn't help knowing others are suffering...especially during this Holy Week.
Sometimes it gets so dry and parched here in Oklahoma that the red earth cracks and separates from itself. It makes us crave moisture and we hope the dew left on the morning grass will linger a bit longer than usual.
Praying for rain to come to you as well...
Blessings for a beautiful weekend.

ReplyDeletePoor puppy! Our dogs don't like the rain either. The view of the rain from your windows looks so soothing:) It looks like the perfect day for a cup of tea and a good book.
