I've been tagged...

Awhile ago, I was tagged by three dear friends, fiirst by Suzan at Old Grey Mare,
then by Rosie at Roses and Rutabagas.

I was to show the tenth photo on the first folder in my computer files.
 So here it is.
This photo was taken at my daughter's house in February 2008.

This is my grandson Anton  (my daughter Season's first child)
and his aunt Haylee (another daughter of mine). Anton is 12 years old in this photo.
Haylee is going to kill me for showing this picture of her.
Notice the drips on the front of her shirt. They came from the sippy cup that
she is holding in her hand.
No, it isn't hers, it belongs to her 2 year old daughter Madison.

If you don't hear from me for a awhile, it will be because I am healing up from the
beating I'm going to get after posting this. hehe

The rules say that I am to pass this tag along, but I have seen many of my friends tagged already,
so if you would like to play, feel free to do so.

The third tag came from Elizabeth of My Tattered Rose. The game is Moth's Lucky 7. I am
to reveal my 7th follower. Wow, after scrolling through all of you awesome blogs who have chosen
to click the follower button on my blog, I'm feeling truly humbled. The 7th follower is
Gale Brisa. She does't have a blog, and no picture was posted, but I feel grateful to have her
along for the ride. So Gale, if you are reading this...thank you!

I just have to show you my daffodils that are finally blooming. I have several varieties in the
garden and this is the only one that is in bloom at this time.

This variety is extremely fragrant. So much so, that if I get too many in the house at one time
they give me headache.

I think daffs are the cheeriest blooms. I literally have hundreds in the garden.
I also planted 200 bulbs  in the field at our other place. That was several years ago and
I planted them in and among the aspens. When they bloom it is a lovely sight.
(edited: So funny...I was rereading this post and noticed I had typed in 700 bulbs, instead
of 200 and came back to fix it ,but noticed I had already had a couple of comments. I'll bet they
think I'm a super hero, planting 700 daffodil bulbs. lol Not to mention rich!)

One more photo I would like to share...if you will indulge me...was taken this past Monday.
My daughter and her family were visiting from Utah, and Beau (my SIL) was working on
the car and their little 2 year old Ella (Anton's sister) decided she would help her daddy.
I just had to snap this. I love her little shoes that my daughter found at a thrift store.
They are Stride Rites, just like she wore when she was a baby.

  2. That is a precious picture of Ella! It reminds me of our boys when they were little - always wanting to help Daddy with fixin the car! My are they the mechanics now- guess it paid off!!

Your daffodils are so lovely! Would you know what variety they are that they are so fragrant?

I spent all day playing- working really in my sun room. It has been full of furniture and junk for my antique booth. I so want to get it looking cute for the summer. I looked outside while I was painting a piece of furniture and thought the pear flower petals were dropping from the tree. Went outside and it was snow falling!! When will Spring figure out she can arrive here in Colorado!!???

  4. Thanks for playing! Terrific family photos..and oh my Miss Ella, that is so sweet.

Glad you are finally getting your blooms. We have had horrendous winds for weeks and all my roses are just petals across the ground now. I'll have to wait for next bloom.

I'm up late again watching the news about New York City, since darling daughter is there ya know. Scary stuff. See you Wednesday?

  11. Oh June that photo is priceless of Ella and her daddy! That looks like something my Annika would do. Lately she has been throwing out her hands and saying, "My daddy says it doesn't matter WHAT I wear...I am still his princess"...hee hee! I love to hear what she comes up with next!!

Beautiful daffodils too. Mine are all done for already!
    Happy Sunday!

  14. Hi June
That last photo is just so cute, they are so precious...
Most of the daffs along with the tulips are done here and all the blossoms on the trees are down. The lilacs are in full bloom and the smell is heavenly but I just cant get them to stay pretty once cut. It has really been windy here lately. Now we are getting ready for the peonies which are my favorite. Have a wonderful Sunday, the promise of a new day... how good the Lord is!

  15. I remember my daughter at two years old. She was so spunky, too! Something happens around the 6th grade and from then on, they are a bit more guarded, less willing to throw themselves down under a car with Daddy....Your images are really lovely....what a wonderful way to start my Sunday! xx P&H

  20. Haylee looks like she could be Anton's big sister. :) Great photos, especially sweet little Ella helping her daddy. I didn't know any daffodils had an aroma. Interesting! Lillies are ones that smell good when you first bring them in, but after a couple of days, egads, it's awful! HOpe you are having a super Sunday sweet June! :) Tammy

  36. June,
LOVE the daffs as you call them. Every year I swear I'm going to plant bulbs, then time gets away. Then spring comes & I see them popping up everywhere, oh maybe next year. That is just about the cutest picture ever of your GB! How cute is that. She's just hangin' with Dad. Little arms crossed like she's telling him 'I think you need to bleed the brakes Daddy'. Big brother & auntie are pretty cute too. Lisa

June amor, while I love all the pictures you shared here today...I especially love the one with lil bella Ella and her daddy, because it reminded me of my amor and my own daughter working on the cars with her daddy all weekend, yup my own lil grease munky...I love that she has no fear of getting dirty or climbing into small spaces..I wish I had my camera when she was sitting inside her dads engine compartment :) it was awsome Besos, Rose

ps...I on the other hand cheered them from the porch cause I was afraid I would get dirty :)

  52. Oh my gosh- that picture under the car is too precious for words. The shade of yellow in those daffodils is just too beautiful-you seem to have a knack for finding and photographing the most delicate, sublime colors, June. One of my religious education students recently gave me a little hyacinth plant, and I swear the pale lavender/pink color made me think of you.

  53. Hi June - funny post! I would have not noticed the sippy cup spots on Haylee's shirt had it not been pointed out, ha ha! What adorable children and grandchildren you have, just as pretty as your flowers! Will you be planting another 700 next year? wink, wink!
