I'm going a little crazy with the hearts I think.
I can't seem to stop.
I make them by the dozens.
I do things like this all the time.
Go overboard making things I love.
(you should see me with baking cookies) I just can't stop once I start))
Using all the pretty vintage laces, new and old fabrics and bits and bobs
that I have been collecting for years.
You have no idea how hard it is for me to use my little stashes of pretties.
I am a hoarder of beautiful things and I have a hard time parting with them.
I like to keep them in big glass jars and just stand and stare at them.
So this is BIG.
Really BIG!
I have been making them for friends and family for
I just keep making them.
Like the sachets I made before Christmas.
Valentine's Day.
And true to form...
I just keep making them.
Like the sachets I made before Christmas.
Once I got started I
just couldn't quit.Sewing and stuffing~
and stuffing and sewing.
At least a platter of these have a lot less calories in them than the sugar cookies
I've been wanting to bake.
And they will last much longer too!
Cookies?
I just may make tomorrow baking day after all and give the sewing machine a break.
I will be sure to leave a few for Valentine photos (maybe : o)
The little cherub graphic came from Karen at the Graphics Fairy.

That is oober cool that you got featured in a magazine. Congrats...but I'd say It's About Time They Found YOU.

ReplyDeleteDearest June, these little hearts are glorious!!! Whoever receives one will treasure it forever I'm sure. I love your new header pics as well, my son used to be forever drawing hearts when he was small. He even swore he would drive a Fiat Punto car when he grew up simply because they used a heart in their advertisements. He once whittled me a sweet little heart when he was about eight of course I have it still stashed in my treasures draw!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow!! you are going to be featured in a magazine, how totally wonderful...you deserve it though dear friend your home is just beautiful! :)))))

ReplyDeleteThey are absolutely gorgeous! Your family & friends are blessed to receive such lovely gifts!! Good for you for letting go of your pretty bits and baubles. Have a wonderful Valentine's day - filled with lots of love. Blessings - Angela
ReplyDeleteJune, thank you so much for your kind words. I love your hearts, all the little pretties attached, the little details. I am sure everyone who receives them will love them also. I know what you mean about using them. I am in the process of cleaning the basement and I always come across my stash of vintage fabrics and as much as I want to make them useful, that first cut is always the hardest. I also saw the cow drive, bring back memories of when we were kids and the cows got out. Only they never walked in a nice straight line, that is for sure. My girlfriend and I always reminisce about the time a neighbor's prize bull got out and was walking the rail road tracks. We were all trying to get him off before the train came.
ReplyDeleteGood memories. I hope you are enjoying the last of winter with anticipation of spring. I hope you and your husband have a wonderful valentine's day.
Hi June
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely hearts - they look wonderful all together in a bowl. I am so excited to get the new RH, congratulations rather to them for picking you.

Hey June, just received my copy of RH and was so excited to see you there, not once but twice!! Honey, I told you the magazines were coming, and they have. You SO deserve the recognition!! Coming to your blog is like a vacation! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh Junie... You're speaking my language... I am one SUPER-DUPER hoarder. I once saved a bit of fabric for YEARS... I couldn't cut into it. I found it in my stash years later....it was the nastiest KettleCloth you've EVER seen. It made me laugh......and yet, I still hang onto my favorite pieces... Silly. I should just bite the bullet and enjoy the stuff.
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE your hearts.....but then, I always adore everything you make. They're darling, just like you.
xoxoxo
