Today for white Wednesday I thought I would take you along on my shopping trip to Rebecca's in Bellevue, Idaho. My daughter Ember and I got there a little early and we waited patiently for Rebecca to open her doors. There was a line of ladies ahead of us and we were on our best behavior and tried our best to be civil and not run over them in our enthusiasm to get to the goods. As I have stated before in a previous post, Rebecca is only open for the 4th of July and Labor Day. Her shop was filled with beautiful items and dressed for fall. The colors were rich and deep, but I still managed to find a few whites and creams for today's post.
Love the white corbels.
And just look at this amazing shade made by Rebecca's friend Laura. I probably have ten photos of this shade from every angle I could get. The detail was amazing. I loved everything about it, but alas, it was out of my budget, so I had to leave it behind.
Here is a closer view of the beautiful detail on this shade.
It was quite dim in the shop and so my pictures are a little dark. I hope you can get an idea
of just how lovely this was.
And here is a picture of the darling Laura herself, modeling one of her shades that lasted all of ten minutes after the doors opened.

I love lamps, and I really loved these lamps.
Rebecca always has a great stash of vintage linens. This little corner is where I hung out the most.
Yep...I did some major damage in this area. I made a mess of everything and then tried to put it all back together after I was done pawing through it. I bet they just hate shoppers like me. Well, maybe not, because a lot of it came home with me.
Then when we went to leave, Ember and I had to make our way over to the homemade cookies and lemonade. I love these food toppers that Laura made from vintage netting and laces.
Just so pretty!
I want to thank Kathleen for hosting White Wednesdays. There are so many beautiful blogs featuring whites today and if you would like to see more, visit Faded Charm for a list of those participating.
Just so pretty!

Hi June
ReplyDeleteJust about ready to go to bed but had to read about your trip to Rebecca's. I love the food toppers what a beautiful idea. her shades were great too.
Thanks for your sweet thoughts about Luke - I am so relieved that everything went well. The last time things were awful but the last surgery was terrible so thankfully that is all behind us and this one went well.
Blessings to you this week
Rebecca
PS Had to take another look before I head up north and saw the white widows walk...now I am drooling! Love it and haven't seen much of it in the last few years.

Dear JunieGirl...
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh girly...what breathtaking beauty! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us here in blogland! I love it all. This OTHER REBECCA :) make this Rebecca want to FAINT! She is amazingly gifted and so blessed by God.
You are a kind soul, June. I so needed to see the picture of your smiling face tonight.
Love to you~Rebecca
What a beautiful shop. I understand you have been drooling.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day
Oh June, you are so lucky to have such a wonderful shop ....the only down side being that she is only open 2 days a year !!!! or, maybe that's a good thing,. If she was open everyday, you'd be bankrupt !!!! I was ooooing and ahhhing out load as I looked at your photographs.Vintage lace is one of my absolute favourite thhings. It's so funny, you saying about unfolding everything and then trying to put it back as beautifully as they had done it. I do that all the time although I now say that if they want people to buy things, they have to put up with that !! I just love all the things and loved seeing them all. XXXX
ReplyDeleteooooooh, those piles of laces!!! i could do some real damage there too...yummy!!! the lamp shades are really gorgeous too!!! oh, and the food covers...tdf beautiful...that is one fabulous shop!!!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh June,
ReplyDeleteThere was so much inspirations here for me, I can hardly take it. Seriously I pick up a lot of ideas. I'm like my lamps too June, I probably have to many and three without lampshades. The lamp shade is stunning, something I would love to try to do and so can you, or at least tempt it. Another thing is the food toppers, now that is really cool. I was wondering if she just added the lace and details on the netting itself or just made the whole darn thing. Anyways I have a few of those things and I'm going to add some lace to mine. I just love those, it makes a table setting so pretty for an outside spread. The shop is amazing with so many lovely things to see, especially the lace section like you have mention. You would have to knock me down to be first in line, because I know I would try to be the first myself to get in her shop. lol
The comment you left me was so funny. As I was reading it I didn't expect what you said about putting it all in your car. Your a Nut for sure! I appreciate you girl!!
Hugs-
I almost forgot to ask you June, did you happen to see the lace shawl hanging up and how much that piece was? I'm very interested in that.
ReplyDeletegorgeous........sounds like you had a great time. All that lace.......so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shop. If I was there I would be fighting with you over the lace and linens! What a fun way to spend a day with your daughter.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shop and I love those linens and lace toppers. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteSandy
Hi June, what a fabulous shop... I can´t wait to see what you´ll do with those vintage linens you bought. I´m so sad that here in Chile there´s no such places... well I´m really thank anyway to the flea market I go on weekends, streets filled with incredible things...but not as charming as this shop.
ReplyDeleteIt is what it is and I´m so happy.
Thank you for the images and the story, great!!

Hello June, oh how beautiful everything is! I don't think I would have been as nice as you were waiting to get in to shop, I would probably just yell out "fire" or something to clear the way to get in and shop! (Just kidding, well, maybe....) I love all of the vintage linens and lace... and that lamp shade is sooo exquisite! The treats look yummy too and I love those outdoor food covers! I can't wait until you post about all the beautiful things you bought! Doggie kisses TT! Bisous... Julie Marie PS I am sending you a sparkly tag!

Vicki
So YOU are the one that rummaged through the linens and took the best of the best! By the time I got there, Rebecca told me not to even bother messing them up again, that a short little woman came and bought it all and Rebecca was ready to close up the shop and retire. Shame on you June!
ReplyDeleteJUST KIDDING!
Everything is so beautiful, I could have done some serious damage in there too.
everything vintage
ps...I did hear that you ate all the cookies. True story ;)

Well where does one even begin to talk about your photos, Laura's shop and all the goodies that you found. FANTASTIC photos of a place that was making my heart beat faster, even all the way over here!! I would soooo love to see that place myself. The food toppers are just fantastic (not to mention the cookies underneath), and that lace and linen corner, it definitely is my favorite place too. Love the laces. I am glad you snapped a bunch of them up, they seem like they were just meant to be in your home!!
ReplyDeleteAs for your previous post about your porch, well now you have done it my dear friend, you have rendered me speechless! It is beyond words, BEAUTIFUL will have to do for starters and I could continue on from there. It has to be one of the most lovely and inviting porches I have ever seen. I am going to make sure my sister stops by your blog and takes a look at your photos, she is going to fall in love for sure!!! The sunshine you captured in the pics is definitely grade-A USA sunshine, nothing as bright and brilliant here. Our sunny days are more subdued. I guess it is the constant bit of cloud-veil that hangs above us. I sure do miss bright sunshine like that from NJ. Anyway, it has been a while since I dropped by, but been thinking of you. Hope your Labor day weekend was a great one. XOXX Debby
This Rebecca's is extraordinary! What exquisite items. I love those netting covers ... how delicate & awesome. I would never want to leave. Have a lovely weekend. TTFN ~Marydon

Hope you have a fun weekend playing with all your new goodies!
Sherri;)
