My granddaughters were all here this Summer and gathered in the gazebo for a
tea and conversation.
tea and conversation.
There was quite a lot of tea drinking going on...
(actually orange mango fruit juice)
there was a lot of good conversation...(in an English accent only)...
a lot of bare toes
and dressed in grandma's best old clothes...
There was a lot of sipping...
(look at that proper pinkie placement below)
a lot of eating...
a lot of smiles...
and lots of laughing...
a little helping...
a lot of reaching across the table
some finger licking
and a lot of spoon licking as well...
Okay...so maybe it wasn't all that proper after all...
but it was perfect in every way...
and in the end...a wonderful, wonderful day!

I have won another lovely giveaway that I would like to share.
I won this set of beautiful napkins from Wanda at Victorian 1885
Wanda lives in Canada and her beautiful blog is a true delight.
I know that if you haven't already met Wanda, you will so enjoy a trip to her blog.
She tucked these beautiful handkerchiefs inside the package as a surprise with
a lovely card and rose bookmark just for me.
Thank you so much Wanda, for the lovely win!!!
The other day, when I went to get my mail at the Post Office, I was surprised by another
gift from a dear blogging friend.
M at the OC Cottage sent me a just because gift...two issues of 'Ceremony',
the beautiful wedding event magazine.
She knew I would love the flowers and the arrangements
in these amazing publications. And I have.
Along with this wonderful gesture, was one of her lovely cards and a pink glittered starfish!
I have three of her beautiful starfish from a giveaway I won awhile ago...
But...
I didn't have a pink one.
But...now I do!!!
Thank you so much dearest M, for such a lovely thought
and a lovely gift to brighten my days.
Speaking of gifts...
this is what the girls (my cute little hens)
are giving me these days!!!
Landon got the first omelet!
Thank you to all of you who stop by and visit me here. I love it when you come
by and see what I have been up to here in my little corner of the world.
I wish you all a lovely week and will see you all soon!

ReplyDeleteDeareat June! Oh how glad I am that you enjoyed my orange and white show! And again, this post of yours is absolutely breathtaking. To think that you put all this together....these darling little women will never forget this. Gosh, they are so cute. I am getting back to my classroom soon and will have my own room of 16 darlings, 16 girls this time and only 10 boys. Last year, it was the other way around and WOW was it wild! HHEEEEE, but I love those little men....but this year, it's GIRL POWER! So, I will have to even it out for the little guys to have equal voice and space!!!
ReplyDeleteDearest, as I see your post, I am impressed with the wide-screen appearance it has. You use blogger as I do, but my photos seem to all be squished in a narrow column...what is your trick? Let me know when you have a moment. Merci! Have a lovely Saturday dearest...Anita

ReplyDeleteOh you kind soul, you! Your comment today just melted my heart, it did! Thank you for your words as well about my husband; he is a true gem and after 28 years of marriage, we still find so much enchantment in the world and in each other....AND...I see now what you are saying about the format that you chose, AND you are right; I don't think it is possible to install that feature now that the old templates we are still using are no longer available. What a special, special afternoon. Did you put it all together?
ReplyDeleteThere were 3 photos that were so beautiful that I have to comment. The little girl in the pink dress with the deep pink ribbon at the waist. She is holding a tea cup in front of her face. Her little hands still have the dimples in the knuckle. I love it.
Then the little girl with the pretty hair clip, laughing with her hand covering her face and the half painted nails. Oh my! Such a precious moment in time to capture! And lastly, the baby on the blanket. The sunlight and shadows on her face. Wow.
Thank you for making my Sunday coffee time a tea time with your family.
