The trees here in the garden have just barely begun to leaf and the only thing blooming
are a few daffodils, but it is most definitely Spring!
I love this time of year because when I go out to work in the garden, the digging,
weeding and edging is like meditation to me.
It's amazing how many plans are made and how many worries are solved while I
am out there.
Since I have no flowers yet,
are a few daffodils, but it is most definitely Spring!

Since I have no flowers yet,
I had to buy some the last time I went shopping.
I love the color of the hydrangeas!
The little sugar bowl was purchased at the Vintage Whites Market
I attended last month.
I also picked up some violas and a pretty little pot at the garden center this week.
I wanted to share in this post some of the things I was able to get done this past winter.
They were made from some of my favorite
Tilda fabrics.
I finished a quilt and a few pillows to brighten up the sofas this
summer and then with the left-overs I
summer and then with the left-overs I
made a couple of buntings.
One for me and one for my little one year-old granddaughter's room.
I love how the quilt turned out!
It's so colorful and cheery.

I just have to show off the darling treat my dear friend Sarah
brought over for Easter! I am crazy about the little Maileg egg and bunny ornament.

Hi June - Your photographs and flowers are just beautiful. I love this time of the year when everything is so pretty. Those Tilda fabrics are gorgeous. I am new to your blog and your newest follower.
Judy
Beautiful quilt, and adorable flowers ~ thanks for sharing!
LOVE your quilt, June. It is just gorgeous..and something special for your granddaughter. How cute is that! I am not sure but I think I have some little saucers that match your sugar bowl that you got. They were a gift from a friend when I helped her do something.
Enjoy your Spring- I bet you son loves getting out in the fresh air with you, too, now that the weather is nice. Blessings- xo Diana
Your violas look so pretty in your new pot, June! The hydrangeas are beautiful, too. I bought three a few weeks ago from one of the grocery stores here {they were on sale} and I have had them in the house just waiting for that last frost date. I have an urn outside my front door just calling out for one! Your quilt turned out beautifully. The Tilda fabrics are new to me, but so far I have really loved each one I've seen.
June-I could jump up and down at the beauty of that quilt! And I love the bunting, too. My sewing machine has hardly worked at all this winter, but I am planning to purchase fabrics for a quilt very soon. Going to check out your fabric again! Big hug!
June, this is more than a few pretties - so, so sweet. I love the bunting for your little grand baby.
Oh June such a pretty post today seeing the sweet shades of Spring. The hydrangeas and violas look so delicate and adore that dear little sugar bowl - what a great find - a far cry from a huge piece having to be hauled in by your hubby!!!
What a great job you have done on that pretty quilt and love your little buntings! I can just see one hanging in your little grand baby's room!
I'm hoping the rewards of all your hard digging and weeding will soon be revealed in a magnificent display of Springtime color. You so deserve the joy of these simple pleasures!
Springtime blessings and sunshiny hugs to you dear friend,
Much love,
Suzy
Your pictures are beautiful. Hope all is well with you and you, also, have a beautiful weekend. Diane
I always love to see your pretties! no daffodils blooming here yet.
Carolyn
Oh June... your quilt and bunting are beautiful!
I am sure your little Grand baby will treasure hers for years.
We are heading back home to Canada in a week and I am sure hoping Spring has sprung by the time we get there... I am going to miss the Arizona heat.
Have a great weekend Dear friend.
Hugs
Wanda

Hi Sweet June,
I adore the colors of the hydrangeas, and the quilt and bunting are just simply delightful! I can't wait til your flowers bloom and you share them with us!!
I will be getting my hands dirty next week as I trim shrubs, dig out old, worn out grasses, and plant some bougainvillea, and more grass and plumbago. I can't wait. There is something very wonderful about working in the dirt and sunshine. I love it!
Have a lovely weekend, June!
Thanks...as always...for sharing!!
Hugs and Joy to you!
Becky
I feel the same as you, June...I get lost in my musings in the garden and I have such gentle thoughts ...most nonsense! :) Your hydrangeas are beautiful...I just planted a few last year ( finally!).
Your quilt is beyond gorgeous...the patterns of the pieces as well as colors are so refreshing. It's just beautiful and also the "extras". You kept busy this horrendously yucky winter! :)
I can't wait to get outdoors. As cold as Utah gets. you are still west, so we are weeks behind. I'm craving warm weather and we are set for 40's and rain for the next few days. Ugh!
Love to you! :)
XO,
Jane
Oh I just want one of everything! It's all so pretty...xxx...Mimi
It's all so darn cute, and what a grandma you are to create a beautiful banner flag and the quilts wow! June I would have a granddaughter for you to receive such handmade pieces as you have sewn up here :)
Love your finds and the creative use you add to them turning it into a perfectly charming votive of light, the sweet bird a favorite of mine.
I love my visits here with you, it's always a surprise to what you have added and created.
Many May flowers from your gardens of certainty, I love the charm of your garden.

Spring is also my favorite season. By the beautiful weather we have spent a lot of time in the garden and that makes me happy. Just like your post and wonderful pictures, June.
Today it's kingsday in Holland...a day with lots of festivities, free markets and music because of the birthday of the King. I hope it will be a wonderful day.
Sending hugs, Ingrid
I love Tilda fabrics--so beautiful! The flowers you bought are the softest color--love them. I am tickled as our Wisteria and Lilacs are blooming right now. The daffodils are long gone but still have some tulips. This time if year is so fun as each day seems to bring a new "present" from the garden! Have a lovely day!
Gorgeus ...

Good morning beautiful June! WOW how your new spring décor lifts me up! We too are finally experiencing warmer weather, and just yesterday, we saw the blue crocus in a neighbor's yard! It is thrilling and to think that the song of birds or a blade of green could do that. Enjoy your spring my friend, and like always, your photos are like a painting. BISOUS! Anita
Hello dear June, I wish I could be gardening too! It is still so darn cold here, temps up and down and everything so brown...we had such a severe winter most of the ivy ground cover looks lost..I am hoping it will survive. Your quilt looks perfectly charming, beautiful...I love Tilda, her projects inspiring and so pretty. You bring us such fresh, soft beauty every time, June...thank you! N.xo
Such lovely pretties for spring!! Your little sugar bowl is so darling. The quilt and buntings you made out of all those wonderful fabrics are perfect for spring and summer...LOVE them!!!
Mary Alice
As always, everything here is bright & cheery, June! :) Gorgeous quilt & flowers, and the little egg is adorable.
The aspen leaves don't usually unfurl here until the first week of June, but spring is finding it's way here slowly.
Can't wait to see your 2014 garden pics.
Have a lovely one, June!
xo,
Lin
Such splendid pretties...and a fresh breath of Springtime! I do fancy the wee birdie upon the sugar bowl...it is a treasure surely. And so many delicious fabrics and handmades!
Our gardens remain in a winter slumber, with merely teeny-tiny green shoots just peeking through the soil. But alas, your lovely post brings sunshine and Springtime to a cold, rain-filled day...I thank you for that dear June.
Sending much love your way ...

Dear Sweet Sista! Love, love the quilt!! I so love this time of the year with all the flowers that are starting to burst! My lilac is in full bloom and of course a bouquet on the table. Our yards are calling so the excitement starts! Planting anything new this year. Me, another hydrangea!! Take care sweet one - June
Hi June,
Love your beautiful hydrangeas and sugar bowl with the candle. What a great idea - I would have never thought of using it that way. Your little violas are so happy. Don't they always make you smile.
Glad spring is arriving at your house. We had no forsythia blooms this year. The harsh winter must have done them in - I have never seen that before. I have lots of them around my yard and always look forward to that burst of yellow that comes with the daffodils and lights up my yard with a beautiful sunny yellow display of spring. We are about 3 weeks behind in springs arrival, but it is here at last with flowering trees and baby green leaves. Bulb blooming time has always been my favorite time in my gardens, probably because the weeds haven't taken over yet.
Your quilt is stunning and so happy. How cheerful it will look on your soft this summer. Wishing you a wonderful weekend and beautiful spring.
Cindy
June,
Your pictures are always so gorgeous. I love the beautiful quilt. Love that cute sugar bowl too. Too cute.
Kris
Dear June,
also here, not many flowers are in bloom yet.
The violets though are blooming all over , and I love those dark and lilac tones.
I am also in love with the Tilda fabrics, and also love her books of creative ideas, and patterns. Your quilt looks so lovely and springlike .
Hugs, Dorthe
Those violas are gorgeous, and I love the bunting. I've always wanted to do that, on a window, but I can't even sew a straight line. So, a while back I tied a bunch of old handkerchiefs together in hopes of substituting that for the bunting. Only yesterday morning I placed it over the curtains in the guest bedroom.
Sorry to hear Spring hasn't quite arrived where you live. My aunt is wishing for spring, too. She got snow again just the other day. (It's already starting to feel like summer here, which isn't good, but the bluebonnets are blooming).
It looks like Spring can be a procrastinator in some regions, but I think she'll arrive in your garden sooner rather than later now. It shouldn't be long!
Kristin
Ahhhh those market flowers gotta love them! I wouldnt know what to do without them here on the west coast!
We have used up all the wonderful flowering branches the Forsythia Cherry Blossom Magnolia...they are all over. Next month its Lilly Of the Valley!
I love the sweet faces of your dear flowers and the swooping Bird of the china piece!
The deep new border edges of the flower beds are one of my favorite things to see accomplished (tho I don't do it Bob does!)..the frame around the beautiful plantings! Like a painting!
p.s. talk about painting your Quilt is the ultimate art!
the quilt . . . the bunting . . . the violas . . . actually everything . . . BEAUTIFUL!
Here in England we have lots of blossom on the trees, magnolia opening thick creamy petals and lilac beginning to spread that heavenly scent. Yours will be out very soon!
How beautiful the quilt and bunting are, and the little flower faces :o) Your little grandchild is a very lucky girl to have you dressing up her room so prettily!
Hello my friend,
Everything your hands touch just turn out so beautiful! I think you can even make flowers smile as those violas are certainly doing.
And you know all you have to do is let me know you are coming and I will pick you up and take to you the Fancy Flea with me. We would have good fun. We have had such beautiful weather here for the show this weekend. The poor vendors were soaked last fall so they certainly must have said their prayers this time! It was such a pretty show. Just let me know. My offer is always open!
the little sugar bowl ...quilt...bunting...and flowers ~ so very beautiful ♥
have a wonderful weekend xo
{sending an email your way}

Every time I see your photos I just smile. June my dear, how lovely it is to see your comment this evening as I enjoy a raining afternoon at my computer, writing an article for the magazine I now contribute to. You are so right. When things get disrupted, we definitely learn to appreciate when things are smooth and balanced. I am thanking God for what I have and what I've had and been. Life changes, and we just need the grace to go with the tide. HAPPY DAY my beautiful friend! Anita

So many pretties in one post! Your quilt is just delightful. It completely says "home" and snuggle under me and my cotton yumminess. I love the fabrics you used. Those hydrangea colors are to die for. Oh my gosh that pink one, you know i love it. The bunting is adorable, and the violas are cute as can be. It's just now, finally, starting to really look like spring, and I've started putting out the pink geraniums which always make me happy. I know what you mean about working in the garden, it really is like therapy...
Cindy
Everything is just beautiful June. I especially love hydrangeas although they don't like it too much here in Texas, have to hide them in the shade near a water faucet lol. Your quilt is lovely. Oh how wonderful it will be to snuggle under when winter returns and I bet it would be great to lay out under the stars with too. Oh the stories it can one day tell.
I love hydrangeas too. They're so delicate and have such lovely colors. Fabulous banners. Gave me an idea for a crafty project to do with my little sister.
Morning June,
I really LOVE blue pansies! I must get my pots going again somehow this year (fingers crossed). Oh and those hydrangea's what a heavenly colour-wash is the blue!
I can picture you in the garden as you describe, beginning to get things sorted ready for the treasures to arrive.
Hugs dearest,
Jane xx
Oh, June, I love your quilt. It`s gorgeous. Now you inspire me to finish a quilt that I started on many years ago, can you believe it.
Love your flowers too. Everything is beautiful.

Gorgeous quilt June! Glad you're getting some spring. Our trees are all blooming and even though it snowed yesterday I think spring is here to stay. Mimi

I loved when you wrote " It's amazing how many plans are made and how many worries are solved while I
am out there", it's so true, being out in the garden, taking care of flowers and plants is so calming and relazing, I agree with you 10000%!!!
Lovely shopping, wish we could go shopping together!!! big hug

Thank you for stopping by my blog and your sweet comments. I am looking over your blog and it is wonderful. The quilt is so cheerful as you said, and the Easter egg ornament so cute.. Thanks for sharing those wonderful items with us June.

Be still my heart! The flowers, the adorable sugar bowl (how clever to put a candle in it), and last but not least - the Tilda creations! I am breathless at those cute banners and the quilt. You are one talented seamstress, June. I needed to see this today, as it is rainy & damp here. Thanks for brightening the day up!
Hi June, I just love your quilt and banners, that fabric is gorgeous.
Spring has finally arrived here and we are anxiously waiting to see what
comes back as the winter was so much colder than the last few years. So far
all our hydrangeas are coming up from the roots thank goodness. Enjoy your
spring too.
Sandy
So pretty! I love the little bowl with the violas.
Lovely post June! I seem to receive a special calm and inspiration when I visit you. I love the sugar bowl and beautiful flowers. Your garden will be blooming very soon. I love the Tilda fabrics...I have found a wonderful line called "Yuwa" and ordered from ebay called urbangardens.
They are from Japan,,, another line is "Lucien"...such soft delicate washed out cotton. I think you would like them, and they ship fast from Ca. at 12.00 a yard.
Joy in your day June!
♥
Marcie
Beautiful as always June, and I love those fabrics you used! Xoxo Martha
Great photos, and love your quilt! Thanks for sharing!
Just lovely...and beautiful...
Thanks for the inspiration!
Best wishes for a sunny weekend,
Titti
I'm another one who finds weeding meditative, June. In fact, I'm off to do just that - weed and meditate - in the next hour. It's the perfect day for it - a bit cloudy so that I don't get too much sun, yet warm enough to be comfortable.
The quilt is just lovely - and the bunting....I think it's time for me to pull out the sewing machine!
Eu amo hortências e estas cores estão deslumbrantes.
Parabéns e um forte abraço.
