It may be some of the garden's last blooms, but certainly not it's last hurrah.
The garden is just starting to turn it's fall colors, so I
thought I had better post these photos I took in the garden about two weeks ago.

For the most part, the roses are done and the phlox have finished, and
the only thing left blooming are the hydrangeas.
I guess there are a few lavender out blooming, but with everything turning
their beautiful fall colors, I seem to look past the blooms to the loveliness
of the leaves on the shrubs and the ones covering the grass.

I did however, want to post these photos of my banged up rusty bucket
of blooms.
I also will be posting more roses on the porch that I took the day after
these were taken, but it will have to be the next post, because
this one is already packed with photos.

When I was done with the blooms in the house,
I took them out to the perfect drying rack in the garden.
We have had perfect days for drying flowers outside and this orchard ladder
sits under the birch trees and keeps the blooms from fading in the sun.
one of my favorite plants to have in the beds
Thank you all for your visits and the wonderful comments you leave.
I love sharing the 'garden goodness' with you all.

The autumn's gifts are beautiful. It is indeed one of the last, but they are no less beautiful. Perhaps even more valuable because you know we have to wait a few months before the garden send us new gifts. Your pictures are great dear June, thanks for sharing!
Wish you a wonderful weekend! Sending hugs, Ingrid
Hi June! The colors are amazing! I just caught up with your last post as well. I love your beautiful backdrops and staging. The old bucket is fantastic. We just got one single accidental rose for the year. Beautiful.
Oh June, these are heavenly photographs. Like a breath of fresh air! Beautiful!
Once again, a lovely post filled with such beauty, a real treat for me that's for sure. I love your bucket, a wonderful way to display your roses and any other flowers you might fancy putting in it.
Have a glorious fall ~ FlowerLady
Dear June:
Beautiful photos and amazing flowers. I can hardly believe this is in Utah!
Your drying rack in your garden is lovely, June. I love your posts so much....they always brighten my day! I hope you have a wonderfully delightful autumn. :)
Hi June,
Love your bucket full of roses and the bouquets drying under the old ladder.
Looks like another beautiful season in your garden.
Take care,
Carolyn
Such beauty. I love the way you hung the roses to dry on the ladder, practical and pretty at the same time. I look forward to the photos of all your autumnal glory.
Hello girlfriend! Nice to see you here this evening <3
It's so nice to catch up with you, June...I hope I haven't missed too much over the summer. These are such beautiful blooms. I want to see if I can grow the scabiosa next summer-it's beautiful. I'm also wondering what your method of drying is. I do mine indoors, such as roses, tied lightly and hung upside down on whatever knob or hook I have. LOL!
Happy Fall to you and wishing you and your family well.

I've never known anyone who has as many roses { and picking flowers } as you June. You have them in abundance !! I have to say that the roses have been wonderful this year in the UK. My ' Penny Lane ' is still blooming and my creamy rambler is covered and we are well into Autumn !! Your photographs of your garden { and the inside of your house !! } are always so beautiful and always take my breath away. ....... lots of garden envy from me !!!!!!
Hope all's well with you and your family June and enjoy the beautiful colours of Autumn. Much love. XXXX
Hard to believe that these flowers are from the end of the season, they are so vibrant and robust. And they look so romantic lounging in the bucket.
How many years have you been building your gardens? It would be interesting to read the story of how your beautiful gardens have evolved and the chart of varieties you've planted. The beauty is endless.
hugs,
Katherine

C'est magnifique ! J'adore ces mises en scènes florales !
Lovely photos, June. Yes, we're watching our garden die back, slowly but surely. There are still blooms here and there and I treasure them.

Hello Dear June...
Once again your beautiful post has made me smile... your shot of the bench and bucket of roses is magazine worthy!
This is our first Fall living on Vancouver Island and I am loving the colours and different plants the planting zone offers.
Have a wonderful weekend!

My sweetest and precious June,
to come and visit you here, my darling, means to cheer up our heart, amongst beautiful words and amazing images you've created a Blog which talks about your inner joy !
You're so right, during these days we may enjoy the last gifts of the garden, which for the moment here is still quite alive, but just ready to fall in sleep if the weather is going to become colder... your roses are gorgeous even if it's forwarded October and those you've hung under your ladder will be the joy of your winter days at home, once dryed ... and how about the flowers you've already inside your rooms .. everything is so perfectly romantic and cozy !
Have a blessed end of the week,
with heartfelt gratitude
Dany
Hi June, I love Fall gardens it's like they are trying to give their all for us until the last visit by Jack Frost. Looks like you are having a beautiful Autumn. Thank you for sharing your lovely bouquets. I love the rust bucket and the pink roses. So perfect. Happy Autumn! Hugs, Jo
What a beautiful idea to dry the flowers outside, I didn't even know that was possible! I thought it had to be done indoors. Looks so lovely! Your garden is gorgeous every time of year:)
Hi June and all your beauty, love the rusty garden bench, your water pitcher filled with blooms and a wonderful backdrop.
I have a friend who dries her flowers and the roses are breath taking.... She never lets them leave WATER they stay in a full large bundled bouquet with fresh water often in a vase until the roses and floral filler is completely dried.
I was amazed at her method and also could not believe the colour of the antique beauty each flower takes on and home sturdy they are. You would think the pestles would fall off easily? But not true at all. Really so much vivid aged colour to each stem preserved in water.
Your garden soon will take a winter rest, and we will be looking forward to all the winter beauty you will be creating here.
Lots of seasonal inspiration your way.
Xx

June, those precious blooms are hanging and giving their all! Sooo beautiful,
I love the display on the iron bench, just gorgeous, that is an image to last through the cold months. Lovely!
Hugs,
Patti
June, You must have the best gardens around. I love all the flowers photos. That bucket is a wonderful display piece. I love finding a flower hanging on for all it's worth to give just another day of smiles. Some times I have to bring that flower in to admire. Blessings to you and your sweet family, xoxo,Susie
Just so incredibly gorgeous, June! I always feel inspired by your posts! Such beauty!
Hope all is well with you and yours, sweetie!! Fall is even in the air here in central FL!!
Hugs and joy to you!

Oh sweet June I am so glad you were able to share these most gorgeous images here with us. Simply joyful!!!
How many people do you really know that could pick as many amazing roses and peonies to put in a rusty old bucket to display them like you? I doubt very few!
These are just a few of the rewards that have true meaning for all of your dedication to your beautiful garden!
With Autumn almost upon you now you will be able to view these gorgeous images anytime you feel like it to remind you about the next most wonderful rose season ahead.
The scabiosa flowers sitting so proudly in the white vase are simply adorable and so too the late flowering pink phlox in front of your gorgeous mirror.
I can't tell you how much seeing all of these exquisite images warms my heart.
I do hope in a few days time to hear some lovely words again from you my dear dear friend.
Thinking of you with much love,
Suzy
Always so very beautiful here, June. Your first photo took my breath away.
Hugs,

Ahhhh....glorious, just glorious flowers June! Visiting your blog is like a walk in a beautiful garden. I've been absent from blogging for a bit, but hope to catch up this fall. And your blog is always a must-see visit. Hope all is well,

The flowers look so beautiful dear June, the last ones this year. We did have the first frost already last night and my roses look a bit sad now. Loved your beautiful pictures as always, sending you hugs, Ingridxxx.
June visiting your posts is like a precious gift. I swoon over your roses but through your beautiful photos their memories linger on. I love your orchard ladder and drying your roses on it looks lovely. Believe it or not I just googled Scabiosa because I was not familiar with this pretty flower wirh the divine purple color. I was amazed to find that they are part of the honeysuckle family. I am going back to research if they will grow in our zone. Please stop by and enter my French giveaway.
xoxo,
Vera

June, it is always a delight to see your gorgeous blooms! I have a fetish for rustic buckets. I love the mixture of romantic and rustic! I have Scabiosa in my garden and have never thought of it as a cutting flower, but it is beautiful!
