I went through some photos today that I can't remember posting before,
and since it has been too overcast here to shoot something new,
I thought I would post some of the pinks that were in some of the files.
I am finally forcing myself to paint the living room, kitchen, family room and
a bedroom, so it will be awhile before I have much new to share here :)))
Oh, how I hate to paint!
I have put it off for too long, and now it is a must.
Like it or not,
I will be climbing up and down the ladder,
(I always fall off it at least once in the process)
sometimes even with a can in my hand))
dripping paint all over the place
(because I am messy that way),
going to the store with paint in my hair,
and probably in my painting clothes too,
living on smoothies and salads because I won't
want to cook in all the chaos,
Oh yes,
and there will be a little swearing going on as well.
I, too, need to do a little painting but I'm procrastinating a bit longer. :-). These photos are so beautiful. I love the soft colors of springtime. Oh spring! I am SO ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Hi June .... so sorry .... I must have missed your last post.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photographs ..... beautiful roses, distressed furniture and such delicate colours.
Good luck with the decorating ..... and try not to fall off the ladder !!! We don't want you injured .... we need your lovely posts.
Can't wait to see what you do and how it all looks.
Take care up that ladder June.
Sending love from the UK. XXXX
We are painting our whole house too...well, Cody is doing it all, I just let him do his thing! I hope you don't fall off of the ladder this time around :) Hope you are enjoying your winter!
ReplyDelete~Trisha
Oh June, bless your heart. I too hate painting - and it is something I don't let hubs do anymore - no way, oh my word - so we hire it out. Only way for us.
ReplyDeletePlease please please do NOT fall!
God bless! Thank you for such lovely eye candy, hope you are sharing your lovely post tomorrow for Beverly's How Sweet the Sound blog for Pink Saturday!
Oh how I dislike painting! Last spring I hired someone to paint three rooms, but that’s not something I can do often. Good luck on the ladder, June, and hang onto that paint can!
ReplyDeleteI am hoping your painting goes well with no falls! So love all your pinks and your ability to capture beauty!
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful pinks, June. I hate to paint, too. The difference between you and me - you do it. I think about it. God bless, hope it goes better than you think. Diane
ReplyDeleteDear June:
ReplyDeleteNo falling off the ladder allowed. I am sure it will all turn out beautiful! Your photos are lovely!
Such pretty photos! What colors are you using? I know your rooms are going to look lovely. Be safe, and don't fall off the ladder!
ReplyDeleteOh June,
ReplyDeleteYour painting style sounds just like mine!!! I hate the house being ripped up so I am a big hurry....
All your pretty pink blooms are a sight for sore eyes... breathtaking. We are so gloomy and overcast too....
Hugs,
Bella
How nice to see your post blowing into my day bringing all of it's loveliness.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the painting...you didn't share the paint colors with us but I imagine it will be shade of white and all very pretty.
PS I am a very, very messy painter too...it seems to go everywhere but on the walls.
June, your beautiful pink subjects brighten up this cold, windy, rainy night. So pretty. I know how you feel about painting. I don't mind painting furniture, except chairs, but I want to change the color of the kitchen, and hubby says, if I want it, I have to do it. I don't like it but am determined. I also will let you know how it goes!..Happy Weekend..Judy
ReplyDeleteDear June,
ReplyDeleteSo funny to read about your paint adventures (but of course I don't want a fall off the ladder!). Thanks for sharing your wonderful pink photos, I like them so much.
Wish you a wonderful weekend, my friend! Hugs, Ingrid
Haha, that is so like me when I paint. I have planned to paint one wall in my livingroom in a very light blue-grey color.
ReplyDeleteHave a cosy painting.
Hugs from here
como siempre son unas maravillosas, inspiradoras y alegres fotos.
ReplyDeleteEres una gran fotógrafa. Enhorabuena.
Un saludo
Bellissimi i tuoi fiori, i tuoi colori e le tue tazze!Buon fine settimana!Rosetta
ReplyDeleteJust breath taking photos again!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with painting job and happy weekend!
As always, your blooms are beautiful! Your photography always puts me in a dreamy, peaceful state of mind.
ReplyDeleteI also need to paint inside and out. Outside will be happening pretty soon I think. People from my church are going to come prep & paint. I am humbled and thankful to say the least. I enjoy painting, but I'm not as young or limber as I used to be, and I'm not crazy about ladders. :-) Hubby and I always took care of things around here, and not having him here with me to work with has been rough. Having to ask for help isn't easy either.
Occasionally wrong words pop out of my mouth too. :-)
Try to enjoy the process and be safe. The reward will be beautifully painted rooms.
Love & hugs ~ FlowerLady
How beautiful...makes me long for spring! Good luck with the painting...always an adventure!!
ReplyDeleteI hear you, June. I've reached the point where painting is no longer something I'd look forward to. Hope it goes well for you.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pink photos. :)
Hugs,
Lin
June I can't begin to tell you how beautiful your Pink flowers look to me. Gave me a lovely reminder of Spring. We are in a blizzard right now and all I see is White! We have another 18-19 hours to go! Painting is always an amazing task but magically transforms. i know it will turn out beautiful.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Vera
Oh June, you make me laugh...you sound like you paint the same way I do. LOL. When my daughter and her husband built their new home, I painted almost all the rooms, I was getting to be a cut-in expert....she helped with two of the rooms..the up/down of the ladder killed my feet. So one of my daughters nailed a goldpainted brush to a board and called it 'Mom's last paint job" she is hanging up her brush. LOL. I really would love to paint a couple rooms here...but I putting it off...in hopes to move back to town. I loved seeing all your pinks. Blessings to all of you , xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteBest wishes in your painting adventure. What color are you painting? I hope a shade of white. Every home I have lived in I keep the walls white throughout. It is so calming. beautiful days ahead to you. xx
ReplyDeleteOh my another thing in common I hate to paint!!! One of the greatest surprises I ever received was coming home from a weekend away and finding my daughter had painting my living and dinning room. I'm so lucky she likes to paint!! Now please be careful on those ladders. We don't bounce that well!!! Take care dear sweet one! June
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your paint revealing.
ReplyDeleteI am needing to think about some fresh paint in my home, my last home was mostly white walls yet some areas of the home was a French grey, that grey that has the undertones of green in it, soft, dirty, pale tone, yet not in the pastel tone at all. It still felt white in my home with cottage garden tones in my prints on the fabrics.
Love the spring feeling here, we are still seeing the evidence of winter here.
See you soon and the beauty you create here.
Beauty and grace with the days ahead of you.
Xx
Blessings
Dore
Hi June,
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty pink post - such a sweet and pretty colour.
Also how gorgeous all your lovely flower photos are. take care up the ladder June and best of luck with the painting.
Sending hugs
Carolyn
So lovely on this winter day!
ReplyDeleteDear June!
ReplyDeleteI know good how you feel after one year of renovating our "old" house and building the new one.
And painting is hard work!!!!!
But afterwards your home will shine like the sun and spring can come!
I always admire your bouquets and deco!
Hope you and your family are fine!
Happy new week my Dear!
With love,
Geli
Oh so pretty! What a gift! Best of luck with the painting. And take care!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pictures June! They definitely make one think of bright sunny days:) Sorry to hear about your painting duties, I don't think I'd be looking forward to it either...be careful tho, not too long ago I remember Fifi falling off a chair and injuring her arm so badly she ended up having surgery.
ReplyDeleteI'm building a huuuuge dollhouse for my nieces at the moment and have been known to leave the house with paint and spackle all over me and little wood chips hanging off my shirt:)
One can never have too much pink or see so much beauty.
ReplyDeleteOn this cold snowy day here it lifts the spirits.
You had best be careful my friend when up a ladder with a pail of paint. Does your painting shirt tell the history of colour selections like mine over the years?
Susan x
Lovely pink photos ! makes me long for summer...
ReplyDeletegood luck with the painting and swearing...and just think how nice it will look for a fresh new coat...have a nice week...Gail x
Hi June, your pictures are so lovely to see with all of the snow that is going on. Good luck to you with your painting! Yuck! lol Have a wonderful day. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteYou make me LAUGH OUT LOUD June! We sound like twins when it comes to painting. I have taken my share of spills off a ladder and always make messes. :)
ReplyDeleteYour photos are stunning!!! *sigh*. When I get to heaven I want to take photos like you because God knows I can't figure it out down here!!! :)
Hugs~
My darling, let me say that every time, when I come and visit you here, I go away in high spirits, your photographs bless my heart, believe me !
ReplyDeleteYou're such a wonderful woman, my sweetest June !
Have a wonderful week and good work (I also don't like painting at all !!!),
sending much, so much dear love to you, with esteem and gratitude
Dany
Looks like we are in the same boat, June! One of my Christmas presents from all the girls and hubby was to paint my bedroom {awful shade of brownish gold} and the kitchen, dining, and family room are {also said awful shade} except for the kitchen and nook. I even have gift cards to buy paint! But I haven't looked at the first paint chip! So much else going on, and like you, just even the thought of the disruption makes me crazy! LOL!! I, too, am committed to seeing it through, but it will have to be in a couple of weeks! I have to pick some colors to try first!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous. But then everything you post is!
Love and hugs to you! I will pray that everything is a breeze, and especially for no falls! :o)
Becky
so much beauty!
ReplyDeletehappy painting ~ I know how gorgeous it will all look xo
Gorgeous, gorgeous pictures, dear June!!! The soft shades of blue and pink look wonderful together.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with those paint jobs! Please be very careful on the ladder! You'll be happy when everything is done and the rooms have an even fresher look.
Have a happy weekend :) !
Hugs,
Julia
Dear June!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind visit on my little blog.
I hope one day my house is a little cosy like your one ...
Have a happy weekend with your family!
With love,
Geli
Hi June, I love all the pretty photos, you really know how to capture flowers with a camera! I'm excited to see the after pics of your painted rooms!! Thanks for stopping by, always love to hear from you. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jody
It is always the party of flowers here! J'adore !
ReplyDeleteIt's been snowing here and your lovely photos were a bright spot in a cold day! New paint will be wonderful! We are in the process of painting all of our trim and doors white. They were tan when we bought the home, which looked bran new. I've lived with them for 6 years and I am so excited to have them white! It's a super big, and not fun job!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Spring has visited your house!
ReplyDeleteHello June!
ReplyDeleteI have missed your sweet heart!
I have been away from blogging for at least 4 months now but felt a longing to return here.
As always when I am looking over my comments I am always warmed by your heart and your words to me.
Thank you!
The whispers of pink here are so so lovely...such a softness that is breath taking.
I hope your painting goes smoothly my friend. I cant wait to see all you've created again.
Much love and warmest of hugs to you June xo
All my heart,
Deborah
So lovely pictures June! You should make a book of them :)
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week and take care...

Hope the painting is going well. I painted our whole apartment and just slapped it on the best I could. Changed the kids room from blue to white some years ago and it needed a second coat but never bothered with it. Lovely images as always. Happy February!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful break for pink! Lovely photos! So enjoyed! Thanks for coming by and commenting!
ReplyDeleteOh be still my heart June. Your photos are always such a pleasure to look at. Flowers are magical and you display them beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are all done with your painting. That is always one of those jobs that isn't fun. We will be painting our living room and dinning come spring. i am not looking forward to the task.
Take care June. It is always a pleasure to visit your gorgeous blog.

Oh dear June,
ReplyDeleteyou are so sweet and fun, I`m picturing you on the ladder, paint in hand and the big paint brush in the other, swirping the paint all around,- I`m sure it is not that bad with your painting.
As alwaYS your pinks are so beautiful, and oh those small cups with adorable pieces inside, I love it all dear friend.'
Hugs ,Dorthe
Hello dearest June,
ReplyDeleteI hope it goes well and you didn't (and don't) fall down the ladder! I'm a messy painter, too, but I like the look of the rooms after this work (and after cleaning up the mess ;o))... so that's the reason why ... ;o)
Love your pretty pinks, my dear!
Sending lots of hugs and hope your winter isn't too hard!
