I'm a proud chick momma!!!

WARNING!
***
This post is full of proud mommie pictures.

***

Is this not the cutest face you have ever seen?

Did you guys see the darling pictures that Heather Bullard took of her sweet baby chicks?
If not, you just have to. They are so darn cute.

It inspired me to take a few of my own so I could always remember the joys of their babyhood.
I can't believe how attached I am to these little cuties.

I haven't named any of them yet, but I'm thinking.

It's hard when you don't know whether they are roosters or hens.
I would hate to give a rooster a comlex by naming him Harriette, after my great aunt.

This little guy wanted his picture taken too!

How could I say no?

This little one wasn't to sure about it though.

But this sweetie was a little more willing to share the limelight.

I think the Easter chick just made a friend!

Wait a minute...is this a chicken hug?

This was a lot of work for these little babies.
(and for me)

So after the photo shoot...we were all ready for a nap!!!

I have to take a blog break for awhile. I am so busy doing garden bed clean up,
and we have started the construction on the backyard studio. The crew has been
here working nonstop for the last three days. I am the lucky one that gets to go up
and down the road to the lumber store whenever the guys need something.
I'm feeling spread little thin right now.
I won't be doing a White Wednesday post this week and maybe next,
but after that I hope to be back on task. I hope to be able to do a little blog hopping
though, but if you don't hear from me, I will be catching up with you all soon.

I want to thank all of you who stop by and read my ramblings, it means so much.
And whether you leave me a message or not, just know how much
I appreciate each and everyone of you!

And if for some reason I haven't come around to thank you for your
dear words, I apologize. I really do try to thank everyone who takes the time to
make me part of their weekly reads.

***

I want to wish each of you a blessed Easter tomorrow.
I am so grateful to my Lord and Savior for what He did for me...for us.

I've always wanted chicks since I had them as a little girl. I always thought if I had the chance again I would name one Nettie Rennie after my Grandma. don't you think that would have been a good name? Makes me chuckle just thinking about it.

"Here Nettie Rennie Here Nettie Rennie" hehe

Can't wait to see studio pics. if you take progress pics you would have enough for about 20 posts (hint hint)

HI JUNE, THOSE LITTLE CHICKIES ARE JUST ADORABLE! I THINK ONE OF THEM FELL IN LOVE AND WANTED TO GIVE THE EASTER CHICK A LITTLE PECK! LOL

AND HOW MANY CHICKS GET TO STRUT AROUND ON SOME ONE'S COFFEE TABLE AND NAP IN PINK GRASS! IF THEY'RE LUCKY, AT SWEET JUNE'S HOUSE!

IT SORT OF REMINDS ME OF WHEN I WAS A LITLE GIRL. OUR NEIGHBORS HAD A CHICKEN COOP. USUALLY I THOUGHT IT REALLY FUN TO SCARE THE FEATHERS OFF OF THE CHICKENS BY STEALING THERE GLASS EGGS! ( I WAS SUCH A SWEETIE!) BUT ON EASTER SUNDAY, AFTER CHURCH AND STILL IN MY EASTER DRESS AND BONNET, I ENTERTAINED THE FLOCK BY SINGING SEVERAL RENDITIONS OF "IN MY EASTER BONNET" ACCOMPANIED WITH A LITTLE TAP DANCE! I CAN STILL HEAR ALL THE CLUCKING THAT WENT ON TO SHOW HOW MUCH THEY LOVED MY ROUTINE! (NOW THAT I LOOK BACK THOUGH, THEY WERE PROBABLY REMINDING EACH OTHER NOT TO TRUST THE BRAT IN THE DRESS!)

THANKS FOR THE ADORABLE POST AND KNOW THAT I WILL MISS YOU.

A BLEESED EASTER TO YOU AND YOURS, JUDY

Sweet babies!!! I did see Heather's photos - I think you two have the rest of us thinking about raising chics! :)
Have fun w/ your projects. I was just thinking the other day about the many (MANY!) trips down to the city to buy every nail, board, and wire that we built into our tiny house. But soon you will have your studio - I can't wait to see it and hear about all your lovely plans!
Wishing you and yours a wonderful Easter, June.

Cutes pictures ev-ah.
Brought back a wonderful memory for me. My grandpa used to have chickens, and each spring he'd buy like ---a hundred or more little chicks. He'd put them in the chicken coop under a BIG light which was to help keep them warm.
when we'd go into that chicken coop, we had to be careful to not step on them. I loved picking them up and holding them

I can't believe they were so co-operative for you photos. They must be Diva chicks.
And a rooster named Henrietta would be GREAT.

sounds like you have your hands full. I too find it hard to keep up with blogging lately and visiting everyone as now that the weather is warm... I NEED TO BE OUTSIDE DOING COUNTRY FARM GIRL STUFF.
so...stop by when you get some time.
