Whites, Whites, Whites!!!

I first want to take this opportunity to say that I was so grateful to get
the messages from all of you on my little creations I shared in my last post.

I really appreciate the encouragement that comes from you all who read
 this blog!
You are so loving and thoughtful...
and you rock!!!

This past week has been full of 'have to dos'
I didn't get much time for the 'want to dos'

I did manage to paint some frames and mirrors that I had picked up while thrifting.
The one below has been on the wall for two years. (it was a dingy gold) not a pretty gold))  not like the awesome creamy one I have in the living room))) and every time
I would walk by it, I would imagine it white.
So now it's white!

This is a little corner of the bedroom.

I didn't make the beautiful coffee filter
pom poms.
I bought them last year while in Salt Lake City when  I went to see
my daughter.
I've been going to make some...
BUT...

(they are at the bottom of the 'want to make' list now)

and a cute little cream velvet hat.

In the living room, a plain white chenille pillow bought at a yard sale
gets  a posy.

I have a friend who has a store in a neighboring town called Chic Antiques and she sells
these beautiful taffeta roses.

Just the touch it needed!

I gave this old silk lampshade a face lift with some vintage millinery and lace.

I'm joining Kathleen from Faded Charm for this week's White Wednesday.

Some of you mentioned that I should consider selling some of the things I make.
My daughters and I used to do the Artist Market in Hailey, Idaho and I sold many of the
things I made then.
I haven't done it for a few years, but plan to a couple this Summer.
I'm trying to get as many things done now, before the gardening gets crazy.

It would be fun to take part in it again.
We'll see if I get enough done to take part.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Everything is So petty June, and the thought of you selling some of the things you make would make me a Happy girlie. I know I would be very interested!

I think it's great you painted the mirror, I end of painting quite a few things myself with things that were gold.... and I"m very pleased with the way it turn out.

Dressing up lampshades, now that is something I enjoy doing and yours turn out so lovely.

Ooh that mirror June, it is sooo beautiful, I bet it is a whole lot better than the wrong gold. I love your feeling for all those lovely details: the roses, the lace and the other flowers. Too bad there are only 24 hours in a day, don't you think? On the other hand I guess that you and I wouldn't have enough with 48 either...
Wishing you good luck creating, hopefully you will have enough time to make things for the market too, but don't make it a goal in itself, as long as you are having fun, I'm pleased. Have a great week, hugs LiLi.

Happy Glorious Sunday June Sweetie...
A beautiful share as always. (even when you are in a fog.)

I love how you have captured the beauty of Winter white amongst your home. Love the mirror. Who would have thought? How beautiful it looks and brought it right up to new again. I love it. And I would have never thought about the lamp shades. My word I have been tossing them for years. I could have been making beauty. Isn't it amazing what each of us see, when we think of beauty. Well sweet one, you have opened my eyes to the lampshades. Not another one will go into our dumpster for sure.

Love the addition of the rose on your pillow. It just pops now. How pretty. I have seen those made, but would love to pick one apart and try my own. How beautiful it is. Thank you for sharing.

Hope you are well and the family too sweetie. Have a beautiful Sunday afternoon and I hope you get to create something. Love the hearts and sachet bags. Just beautiful. You are very organized. Love this crafting area of yours.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

This is all so wonderful! The lamp shade is great, yes definitely you should sell some of your projects! Occasionally I will show something going in my booth and people will email and I will send it to them instead, Just let us know when something you have made is for sale, it would be easier to sell to us than drag to the artist market...it is worth a try, your stuff is lovely! I to hope that the customer I made the Timmy doll for send me follow up photo's of the honeymoon, if he does I will post them!!

i love your blog, the name of your blog, the way you describe your 'angel'-son. i am a 51 year old german (only mother of two teenagers) living in ireland and our access to the internet can be quite tricky. but i will be reading your blog from now on. our elder son was born without foodpipe so i know the sorrows you can have with a special child in the early days (now he is a normal teenager, to his enormous scar in his chest he refers to a bite from a shark and the girls are really impressed!!!!)
