I would like to start this post off with a thank you.
Thank you for all the wonderful comments I got on my last post.
I feel so grateful that I was able to write and have my feelings understood.
I wanted to also thank those who left sweet words for me that have no blog and no way for
me to get back to you for the beautiful messages you left for me.
I will also be taking a little blogging break after I post this,
but will be back to visit with you all soon.
You remember I had my gall bladder out in January?
Well one of the incisions (the one below my bust line)
didn't close, in fact got bigger and now is causing some problems for me.
(Like making me look like a 56 year old with child)
I will be having surgery the first of next week to have a mylar mesh patch put over the incision.
Yep...just like patching a flat on a bike tire!
OK, maybe not 'just like', but close.
The real bummer is that I can't do much of anything for 8 weeks.
8 WEEKS????
Are you kidding me!!!!
But you can bet I will be a good little girl this time.
(evidently wasn't as good as I should have been last time)
Thus the hole in my gut!
The rest of this week will be spent getting the garden ready for the gardener
to neglect it for the next 8 WEEKS!!!

The first six pictures here are of the President Lincoln lilac that I love so much.
Smells like Heaven
and looks unlike any other lilac in the garden.

Not very fragrant, but so unique.

Here is the Beauty of Moscow lilac.
I think when the crab apples bloom is my favorite time in the garden.
You can't go outside without being knocked over by the scent of them.

The next few pictures are of one of the Centurion crab apple trees.
This was about two weeks ago before the blooms opened.
Then a few days later.
Now fully opened and spreading their beauty everywhere!
I love this bloom!!!!
I have to come back soon to show you the lily of the valley and a few other things
that are starting to bloom.
Maybe I can even get Dale to take some pictures of me in my all white attire

THIS time you must do what the doctor tells and dressing in white sounds a good way to remind you what NOT to do, ok??!!!! your garden can always wait for your cares, it will miss you though, but you ARE more important than anything else... please take care of yourself this time and I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart... be good!!!!

Did you know that white attracts Angels? It's true. So your plan has more of a meaning than you first realized.

I haven't had as much time to check out everyone's blogs lately and just read your last post(with tears in my eyes) this evening. Well, fooey huh? I always wonder what my surgeons thought was when he did my surgery. Well, I know he was trying to save my life...but he sacrificed my belly button...not that it was pretty...but do you know how wierd it is to NOT have one???

I'm so sorry that you have to go back and have more surgery......you must be so frustrated that you won't be able to get out in the garden !!.....but, you must take heed of the doctors and try not to do too much.....mind you, it's so easy to say and so much harder to do isn't it ? You will just have to sit in the sunshine and drink in your beautiful garden. Try to think of it as a well-earned rest and enjoy it !!

Oh, June I do feel bad because I know how badly you want to be in the gardens. BUT you really have to be careful and take care of your self. One good thing I learned about weeds, if they get bigger they are easier to pull. Wear your white and take lots of pictures of your blooms, cut lots of flowers to bring in to your home, read lots of blogs to make your time go faster. I hope your surgery and resting time are over in no time. Good luck and I will be thinking of you.

Beautiful lilacs!! The president Lincoln one looks exactly like the one that is growing at my son and DIL place. I have taken three starts now. Two this year that I just planted yesterday and one a couple years ago that I cut beautiful blooms off of this year. It is gorgeous!!!!

Several years ago I broke my ankle (badly) about this time of year. I had to sit on my backporch & watch my garden go to pot (no one cares for it like I do). I still refer to it as "the summer of my discontent" but I made it through. Sorry you have to go through this but oh, how good you'll feel by fall. You're in my prayers. Jan

Oh poor YOU.. what a dratted thing to happen to such a lovely person, I'm not surprised you might be feeling a little upset! Anyway I sincerely hope that by now you have the operation over and done with and you are back home looking suitably ladylike all in white like you mentioned, tho' I trust there's a trusty someone to launder those white's whenever and no ironing my girl! Cor that could be a blessing come to think of it!!

I am home now and trying to catch up, it was so fun to talk to you but so disappointing I didn't get to meet you. I was so looking forward to it. I had to take the northern route home as I was headed to see mom and the girls in Mn. Otherwise I would have called and met you in Idaho.
I am keeping you in my thoughts these days as I know you are going through some hard times right now. Praying the surgery goes well and you are on a fast pace to your gardening... which is absolutely glorious btw.

Hello June! Well here I am just reading this and you probably have already had the surgery... I hope all went well and that you are embracing the white so as to heal quickly! Maybe sit among your flowers and RELAX and know that as much as you love working in them, it is also a blessing to just BE among them.
It is difficult I know to be given those kinds of orders from the Dr., so my prayer for you sweet June is that you heal well and quickly and that you can enjoy the process!

I'm so sorry that you have to endure more surgery June. I have been away from my blog for a few weeks and maybe you have had the surgery already in which case you are ordered to REST,REST and REST some more)))!! You must get better so that once again you may enjoy working in your wonderful garden ... it looks so beautiful at the moment with all the blossom and lilac.
Oh my, your previous post has brought a lump to my throat. I can say no more.

hello sweet june. i am SO sorry that you have to undergo another surgery- that just stinks especially because I know how short our gardening season is. take care of yourself- rest in your beautiful heaven on earth. i loved each image that you shared- your blossoms are so pretty. i have to say i am a bit envious. i love that you can remember each name. thank you for sharing the beauty with us. i will say a little prayer for a very quick recovery!

OUCH...you better be sure and take good care of yourself after that surgery. I am sure it will kill you to be "still" while you look around your garden and see all the things you want to get your hands into.
I saw all those beautiful lilacs on you garden blog, which I enjoy very much.
I could almost SMELL them.
anyway, sorry you have to go through this right now (why not in the WINTER eh) But just sit yourself in a lovely chair and enjoy this peace of paradise you have created for yourself.

WEll,,,life is unpredictable, and it could be worse, it could have been on your B-day....was it?
