A little sharing

About ten days ago I received an e-mail from Jo Packham with a PDF download
and she encouraged me to share it here on my blog and other social networking sites.
Me, being the most un-techy person you will ever meet and even the most un-caring
about being the most un-techy person, I had no idea how to convert it to my blog
and instead of google-ing it I decided instead to do things my own way and take
a couple of photos of the magazine and the feature to share here.

It's funny how seeing it in print makes me appreciate the studio even more than I already did.
To have a space of one's own to hold the things you love and to not have
them 'put away' every time at the end of your project is such a blessing that I never take for granted.

I think the only thing I would change about the day of the shoot was to have wiped the
dark floor after every step that the photographer and I took.
It was rainy that day and the studio is it's own building behind the house
and we tracked so much in with every step we made so the floor looks pretty
dirty in the photos.

It was such a privilege to have been included in this wonderful publication!!!

It is always a little nerve wracking to have to write about oneself and express
how much something like creating means to you, but I am so grateful to have
been given the opportunity to try.

The photos below are all my own shots of some of  the things in the studio that I would
like to share here.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Jo Packham for including me in the Spring 2014 issue.
It is always great to work with the staff from any of the Stampington publications.
They are helpful and supportive and I would particularly like to thank Brandy Shay
and Cynthia Levens for working to make this process easy for me.
I also want to thank all of you who have e-mailed or messaged me here and on FB
with your congratulations on the feature...you are all the best!!!

I'm taking a little trip with my daughters this weekend to Salt Lake City, Utah to go to the
Vintage Whites Market held there and to say I am excited would be an understatement.

So I will be away from my computer from Thurs-Sun,
but will catch up with all of you when I get back.

Oh June, I ran right out that day and bought that, your studio (and you) are just beautiful!... love all of the photos you took yourself... and about those floors... I never even noticed you had tracked anything in, I was too busy sighing over all of the beauty!... sending you an email... hoping we can meet for a coke at the Centerville exit!... xoxo Julie Marie

I just LOVE your studio. If I ever make it to Idaho again (its been 16 yrs since I have been there!) I am coming by to visit!!! Do not worry I would be polite and contact you to see if it was okay for me to stop by. We loved Idaho so much that we considered relocating to the Boise area. We had good friends there but they ended up moving to Scotland and now they live on the Oregon Coast. Have a wonderful tome in Utah. xxo

Hi June, I adore every inch of your studio and I bought the issue the minute it was shelved on the Barns and Noble Book store magazine stand. I was amazed at the adorable space you are inspired with and how all little girls play in there play houses this little studio cottage must feel like your little play house.
I have a Doctor Girl friend who moved to Idiho with her husband this past few months and when I make a visit someday I may give you an advanced call asking for an invite to see your sweet studio perhaps some of its charm will rub off on me and inspire what I so love about creating and the spaces that inspire such creations.

You so deserve this honor and hope to see so much more of you and your grace in many more features.

See you soon June, in blog land that is :)

Well just how gorgeous is your dear little studio June! It looks great and so do you! I love how, to me anyway, everything seems to be so understated in its vintage simplicity.

Your amazing photography too with your emphasis on the sweet simple things create so much atmosphere. I can tell it is one of your happy places to be (apart from your garden).

I would so love to visit and spend a wee bit of time with you sharing ideas and thoughts in there! It certainly is my idea of a place in which to create and be inspired by all that surrounds you there - inside and out!

Congratulations dear June for being published. The whole article looks fantastic!
