Our very white Farm Chick goods...and a few garden blooms...

This post may get a little long, as I have a lot of photos to share today.
I thought I would disclose what was in the back of Lisa's car after spending the day at the Farm Chick show.
But before I do, I thought I would make you suffer through some of my blooms from the garden.

Can you believe I still have tulips blooming in the garden?

I brought a huge bouquet of the 'Avalanche' lilac in today...and the house smells soooo good.

This pink wooden box is one of my finds at Farm Chicks.
The perfect container for an arm load of lilacs.

I know it will come in handy when it comes to the garden. I haven't decided yet if I will
plant it up or leave it for cut flowers.

It is just the perfect shade of pink for me.

Before I left for Farm Chicks, I took my trusty wicker shopping cart and foofed it up a bit.
I almost didn't take it with me, because I was afraid it would take up too much space in the
car, and limit what room we would need to bring home the goods.
I was so glad I took it. What a life saver it was. It held my purse and my camera, and anything
else I could cram in it. (like my diet coke)

When we got out of the show, we decides to unpack all that we bought so that each of us could see what
the other had bought. We separated at the door and raced each other to the treasures so we didn't see
much of what the other had bought...except my stuff that is, because mine were a little
hard to miss. I like BIG and HEAVY.
I had to borrow a wagon to bring mine out to the car.

When we laid everything out, it was funny how all of our stuff looked alike.
As if it was all going in the same house. Lisa, Michelle, and I have very similar tastes
and it showed in the goods that we all brought home.

Here is a sampling of what Michelle bought...

Is she lucky she beat me to some of this!!!

Michelle lives the majority of the year in Maui, so she bought things that she could send back
to Hawaii to furnish her place there. She is also decorating a friend's
daughter's room, thus the sweet pink things in her pile.

Now onto to LISA'S loot...

I was trying to figure out a way to lose Lisa on the trip home so
I could hijack her 'stuff'. (insert evil laugh here)

Lisa bought a cart at the show and you can see it in the back ground.
I loved the stamped PARIS linen lining.

Don't you think it looks like it all should have come to my house?

I loved this little green tool box she found.
LOVED IT!!!

now for JUNE"S junk...

It was all about the iron!!! And rust!!! And chippy wood!!!
I don't know what this iron thingy is...but I know what it will become.

I found this little rusty light in Heather Bullard's booth. I found a lot of great stuff in her space.
I forgot to take a picture of a rusty bathtub foot that I bought from her that will become
a doorstop for my front door. This light will be going to 'The Shack' in the woods. I have been looking
for just the right fixture to hang there and this fits the bill.

I also found this great old light fixture for the hall in the house. I'm not sure that I will keep the hobnail
shades or not. I may look for something else, but for now they will stay.

This awesome mirror was at The Blue Canoe. I had to have it, and now it hangs in my living room.
I loved these guys. Their space was gorgeous!

Here's a view of the top of it. It goes so well in this room. I haven't hung it yet...but soon.

This little coat rack was just exactly what I was looking for to put in the studio.

A little finial from Heather's booth and another rusty piece of iron.
One thng that didn't photogragh well in the pictures above, was the column
that I found. It is in the living room and I will get some photos taken soon so I can show
it in a following post.

And last, but not least...

I still haven't shared all that I want to from my trip to Farm Chicks, but this post is so long now,
the rest will have to wait for another day.
Thank you to Kathleen at Faded Charm for hosting White Wednesday week after week.
You find a list of many bloggers sharing beautiful whites today. So much inspiration to find there.

Farm Chick whites...

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date! Faded Charm's White Wednesday! It has taken me some time to get my feet back on the ground, since coming back from Farm Chicks. What an awesome show that was! And what an incredible time Lisa, Michelle, and I had. The drive took us 11 hours, but seemed like 5 or 6 on the way over. On the way home it seemed like 22.LOL! I was sooo tired, that it has taken me from Monday morning till now to get my timing back.

I took pictures on the way up and over to Spokane. The scenery was beautiful, but I will spare you those and just post some that I took at the show. They are not wonderful, but will give you an idea of some of the WHITE things that I saw. In my next post (who in the heck knows when that will be, as we are leaving in the morning to go to a family reunion) I will show you more of the show. It was so awesome!!! I cannot even tell you how great it was. I was totally overwhelmed and couldn't even take it all in. I see from viewing my pictures now, that I missed so much. Getting pictures was no easy task either. SOOO many people, SOOO much stuff, SOOO little time. I finally had to put the camera down and get to buying or it was all going to get away.

The picture below is of my sweet friends and traveling companions Lisa and Michelle. Thank you guys for putting up with me for 4 full (very full) days! I couldn't have asked for more in a couple of friends. Do you know how many potty stops are in an 11 hour drive? A LOT!!! Especially for a cocaholic like me!

Waiting in line

Okay, enough jabbering from me and on to the good stuff.....

Can you believe we still had room to go around again. Too bad I can't say that
about the money.

Can I take a minute and show you some white blooms in the garden from yesterday?
Lily of the Valley

My Red Jade crabapple

By next WW I will have some lilacs to share. I wish I could send you all a huge bouquet!

I can't wait to get around to all of you and see your posts that I have missed.
It may take a few days, as we are going to be gone to the reunion until Sunday, but I will
be coming around soon. I miss so much here when I take time off.
Hugs to you all...June

Out by the pasture fence.

My crabapples are finally in full bloom! Well, the two that are at the rear of the property anyway.

The crabapple trees in the garden haven't bloomed yet...still waiting...

The scent of this 'Centurian' crabapple is intoxicating. Mine are the ugliest shaped trees,
but when they bloom, they are so beautiful...when they leaf out...not so much.

But their fragrance is reason enough to put up with these ugly trees.

Out by the pasture fence I have three chairs that I painted different colors
and left out to rot age in the elements.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they will look like by the end of the Summer
after sitting in the sun and rain all season.

Here they sit with my pots of white geraniums.

And I think they will look gorgeous with armloads of peonies on them.

They are definitely not study enough for sitting.

But I do like how they prettify the pasture fence.

I had to share a couple of shots I took of these visitors to my garden a
couple days ago.

I have lots of robins in the garden and they are my constant companions
as I work. I love the birds in my garden, and wonder if they come back year after year
to nest in this same garden...and if they are the same friends I made last year?

I will be taking another break from blogging for awhile as I get ready to go to Farm Chicks (flea market
in Spokane, Wash.) I have a lot of work in the garden to do before I go, and packing and such.
I will be missing White Wednesday, but I will be coming by and saying hi to you all before I go and
after I get back.

Hugs to you all!
June
