I went junkin'...finally!

I wanted to show some of my finds from the past couple of
weekends. I was able to go to some yard sales finally
and these were some of my finds.
I really love old garden junk. I liked the patina on these
old sprinkler nozzles.
I loved how they looked with the lace runner and bling
I found. The nozzles will end up outside somewhere
in the garden, and the bling in the studio for now.

An old chippy bookcase.
Where in the heck it will go, I have no
idea.

More garden junk

These old rakes were my favorite find.

Can you believe how cool this blue one is?

I got this great floral handbag for $1.00.
I loved the colors in it.
You can't tell from the photo, but it is
nubby linen cloth.

Here it is hanging in the studio. I will be filling it with
sewing supplies. It's not near big enough for
me to use everyday. You should see the big ole' thing
I lug around to hold all my necessities...(crap)

If you would like to see what some other girls found 'junkin' stop over at
Cottage Charm and Family Inspirations
for their 'Junkin' Monday'.

Oh JunieGirl! I love GardenJunque, too! My Mr. AGPMan ALWAYS goes to the garage and backyard first on any Estate Sale we visit. We have the BEST Garden tools...the kind you can't buy anymore and they were all purchased secondhand! Gotta LOVE IT!

The purse is 2die4. I'd carry it!

Love to you~Rebecca

Your ´junk´ is beautiful: the metal things, but especially the chair and that pretty bookcase! Will you leave the case outside in your garden? I imagine it filled with flowers and pots :)
Good night, I´ll be back soon,

June, you do come home from flea markets and yard sales with the coolest things. My hubby would love those hose nozzles. How you managed to make them look fabulous sitting on the lace runner is beyond me. You have the knack my friend! If I had displayed them, they would have looked exactly what they are, nozzles. You make them seem special!! I for one love that purse! I carry around large sized purses too and my little family here calls them my "trash bags" cuz they hold everything in them but the kitchen sink. I don't hear them complaining about them when we are out and about and I JUST happen to have the exact thing with me that they need, no matter what it turns out to be. :-) I some times like to buy small purses though, just cuz they are pretty and I dream of the day that I will learn to carry around less stuff with me. have a great day. Hello, June,
I enjoyed seeing all your Junkin' Finds!! The hose nozzles are great! I, too, love their patina. I bet you will find some place for that wonderful shelf, too. Your purse is so pretty. I can identify with it being too small for everyday use. I carry a big jar of coffeemate in my purse so if I stop somewhere for coffee, I will have my coffeemate ready!! Sending autumn blessings your way. Vicki

Oh June, so great founds! Love that little handbag, just gorgeous. To let the summer go is always hard, seeing all the flowers fade is hard, but when I see all the ripe fruites all over here it is a fair compensation :0) hugs, Mira!

June,

You know how much I love your garden and I can see how well your (junk) treasures are going to fit in. I can also see what drew you to the bookcase and the rake; that gorgeous teal color. I love both!

I would say you had a successful weekend!!

Oh, my, June, I'm really swooning over your fabulous junking finds! I love your collection of nozzles - gorgeous patina. But my favourite, is that incredible bookcase, which I would LOVE to have in my possession - it looks so perfectly shabby.

Great haul...junkin' Queen!
Love it all. And the old nozzles remind me of a little craft where someone clever took some wire and twisted it around and up into little photo holders.
I didn't rock the boat but I did clean for 5 hours. Now I'm ready to float down that restful river.
Happy Monday ;-)

Who ever thought old sprinkler nozzles could be so interesting???? Love your finds....I went to a flea market yesterday, but haven't gone "junkin'" yet.

Hello June, you have got some interesting things from your junkin. Sorry to ask but there´s something I don´t understand: the difference between junkin´, flea markets, yard sales, garage sales, barn sales and... I think this is it. I can see in american blogs that women go to many different kind of sales to get the treasures that I only find in my local flea market on weekends... uuhh

Hello dear sweet June,

I love all your wonderful finds! I am so glad you were able to go junking and came home with so many fabulous finds! I love old garden things, too! I wonder about all the gardeners that used them, what they grew, what was their favorite flower and so on. It is just like vintage photos, I wonder about the people in them.

I love the chippy bookcase, too. You will find a spot for it. My dear husband and sweet son will always move things for me. If you are like me, you will re-arrange and find a perfect spot for it! :). Oh, the purse is just gorgeous and $1 is a fabulous price!

Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. You always bless and encourage me. I look forward to your visits and mine with you!

Love, Paula

June, I love that you can see the beauty in what others may perceive as junk. I don't know what it is about treasures like the old sprinkler nozzles, chippy bookcases and that awesome red wheelbarrow that just catch my eye and fill my heart with a fuzzy good feeling. :-D I mean, face it, we can find those things brand new, but their weathered, vintage charm is so appealing and so beautiful. Plus the idea that there are stories and some kind of history behind them...it's just awesome to me. Great treasure finds. Happy 1st day of autumn.

Hugs,
♥Ana
