hearts~hearts~hearts

I'm going a little crazy with the hearts I think.
I can't seem to stop.
I make them by the dozens.

I do things like this all the time.
Go overboard making things I love.
(you should see me with baking cookies) I just can't stop once I start))

Using all the pretty vintage laces, new and old fabrics and bits and bobs
that I have been collecting for years.

You have no idea how hard it is for me to use my little stashes of pretties.
I am a hoarder of beautiful things and I have a hard time parting with them.
I like to keep them in big glass jars and just stand and stare at them.
So this is BIG.
Really BIG!

                                             I have been making them for friends and family for
Valentine's Day.

And true to form...

                                                                I just keep making them.

                                                  Like the sachets I made before Christmas.
Once I got started I
                                                                       just couldn't quit.

Sewing and stuffing~
and stuffing and sewing.

At least a platter of these have a lot less calories in them than the sugar cookies
I've been wanting to bake.

And they will last much longer too!

Cookies?
I just may make tomorrow  baking day after all and give the sewing machine a break.

I will be sure to leave a few for Valentine photos (maybe : o)

The little cherub graphic came from Karen at the Graphics Fairy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I want to thank the assistant editor of Romantic Homes Beth Livesay
for asking me a couple of months ago if they could feature my blog in their March issue.
Of course I said YES!
I can't wait to get my own copy and see the page myself.
I really appreciate being asked to participate in such a lovely publication.
Congratulations June on being featured!!
And I know how you feel about parting with much loved treasures, I'm the same way. I buy beautiful vintage fabric to make pillows for my business and then I have such a hard time cutting it up and selling them. I have quite a few pillows that have stayed home with me. :)
Hope you have a lovely Thursday.
I am working on my creative space this week as it is a little bit slower for me this week with ministry things. It's been fun but I have so very far to go! The only thing that looks really different is me with all the paint I have gotten on me!!
June, thank you so much for your kind words. I love your hearts, all the little pretties attached, the little details. I am sure everyone who receives them will love them also. I know what you mean about using them. I am in the process of cleaning the basement and I always come across my stash of vintage fabrics and as much as I want to make them useful, that first cut is always the hardest. I also saw the cow drive, bring back memories of when we were kids and the cows got out. Only they never walked in a nice straight line, that is for sure. My girlfriend and I always reminisce about the time a neighbor's prize bull got out and was walking the rail road tracks. We were all trying to get him off before the train came.
Good memories. I hope you are enjoying the last of winter with anticipation of spring. I hope you and your husband have a wonderful valentine's day.
I should just bite the bullet and enjoy the stuff.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your hearts.....but then, I always adore everything you make. They're darling, just like you.
