I'm not sure what I love more...
roses in the garden or roses in my home.
To have both is a joy!
In any stage of life---
they are lovely---
These pretties are all losing their petals and still beautiful.
Their color is richer and deeper as they age.
Kind of like a woman!
As we grow in wisdom our beauty seems to go within
and deepens the beauty in our hearts
and although we are losing a few petals on the outside,
on the inside our souls are becoming more beautiful
and it shows in our acts towards one another.

Several weeks ago Anne Marie from na-da farmlife asked if I would post about
the Creatively Made Home---Home for the Holidays.
I'm sorry to say that because of some things that have been happening here and my
lack of blogging, I totally spaced it until I was deleting some old e-mails and saw the one I had received from Anne Marie. Needless to say---I feel bad about forgetting because it starts
on October 15th.
If you would like to read more about it and sign up for the course you can go to

I could stare at your photos Ll day. I like your roses better inside because then i get to see peeks of your beautiful home.
Your roses are beautiful! I love the blue mason jar too:) We all space out from time to time. I once got an email from a blogger about a linky party and if I'd be interested so I said yes, sure I would link up. Well, I guess I misunderstood because she had been expecting me to be a guest poster...I honestly had no idea! She sent me an email the day before asking for my submission which I didn't see until the following day and, well...she not too happy with me and stopped following me. I felt awful but it really was just a misunderstanding on my part!
Anyway, lovely photo's, as always June!
Superb post as always.....my yellow roses are dwindling away......
June , I so love your poetic thoughts, in this post !! I believe you are so right, my dear, that with age...even loosing our beauty petals,- there are more, and prettier reactions from us all,- thinking with the heart!! I love you comparing women with your beautiful roses,--you are such a lovely woman yourseld, both inside and out, dear June.
Hugs,Dorthe

Your photos are amazing! I love that floral fabric in the background. Do you know the name of it? I would love to get my hands on some of that!
I love the roses...even fading they hold a beauty. You always seem to have the prettiest flowers to show. Blessings to you and yours. xoxo,Susie
Life does that, doesn't it? It gets in the way and can leave us feeling competent and satisfied as easily as it can send us whirling off in a cloud if self-doubt. I hope you're kind to yourself as life goes through a busy time. I have a feeling that we're traveling in the same lane these days!
Hi June
I can always depend on you to bring beauty into my life through your pretty photos and inspiring words.
Hugs,
Sissie
Well, I agree, of course, June! I also know how much it feeds my soul to see such beauty when I visit here. Who would think that you could improve upon the beauty of a flower? But you manage to do it time and again. The colors are all so wonderful.
There is something so lovely about roses in the home. I particularly like the green glass vase you have them in.
I love having roses in my house and garden too, and agree with everything you've said...I even have some dying roses on my desk right now, and they are still beautiful in my eyes!
xo Kat
This is such a lovely post, June. The roses and your home are beautiful. Diane

Darling June!
How wonderful to see that you stopped by to visit! Poetry is FUN AND FANTASTIC! We have been hosting a poetry workshop in our home every two weeks and it is so fulfilling! Our poetry teacher is coming over today for a visit and the writing community here in the Twin Cities is vibrant. Finding the time to write and now even finding a moment to post a new blog post is challenging; I started a new teaching position that is taking me some time to learn and it is very fatiguing, but wonderful.
I bought some white pumpkins yesterday and they have lifted my décor to great heights and they make me happy! ENJOY YOUR DAY! Anita
Oh June I love this post, so true!
Soft and dreamy photos to accompany fine words of wisdom. Thank you dearest June!
Sending gentle hugs ...
Judy

Amazing post , thank you!
June I absolutely agree.Roses are beautiful when they are freshly cut and placed in a lovely jar.And still just as lovely as they start to fade and dry a bit! You captured them beautifully!

Your pictures are something especially nice, dear June, they a haven for the soul and eyes!

Dear June,
Beautiful post and I love the analogy between a rose and a woman - so true and thanks for sharing.
Also love the pretty fabric I see on the chair in the background.
Wishing you a happy new week, dear friend. Many thanks for visiting me.
hugs
Carolyn
It's more than poetic that you draw the comparison of flowers to women. So true that the petals have an intensity as time goes on - a lingering strength.
I was just mentioning your blog to someone yesterday, saying how beautiful it is. And again, how I feel someone out there needs to grab you for a book deal. You have so much to share.
Thank you for sharing this.
Hugs
Katherine
Oh June, what a beautifully photographed, and written post. I just wish I was aging as beautifully as your lovely roses! :-) Sending hugs!
I don't think I've lost any petals, yet. But boy have they dried and wrinkled. What a great post! Little June, your photos blow me away, such talent!
We are having a unusual bad storm for this time of the year so I'm not sure I will have a rose on the bush once the wind and rain stop. I think I'll go look at your pretty photos again and brighten my day since it is so gray here. Big June!
when you loose your roses I realize that summer is over. That's ok because I love visiting you in the fall.
big hugs
cindy
For some reason, your post about roses made me think of my grandmother. My granddaddy had an amazing rose garden and she used to take the dried petals and make the most delicious smelling potpourri out of them. They smelled all spicy and....maybe a little cinnamon scent? Anyway, it's a good memory. Thanks so much for reminding me with your beautiful photos!
I do believe you're right about women getting older. Your roses are so beautiful at all stages of their lives. Mimi
Beautiful roses June! What gorgeous photos. Have a great fall sweetie and enjoy life!
Blessings, Edie Marie
Hello dear June. Your photos are amazing. And I want to believe what you write about roses and woman.
Thank you so much for your sweet words.
Hugs from here
Darling, I love your words even more than your beautiful roses. Women like roses loose petals, but become richer inside. Thank you, we have always to remind that =)
Hugs sweet friend, I adore your photos
Silvia
Hope you are well June? Your photo's look beautiful! I think I would find it difficult to decide if I like roses indoors or outdoors too :-). There is something to say for both of them.
Happy week!

Awwww... what a cool post. Just what i needed. A reminder that as we get older we still have beauty, maybe even more beauty. I'm turning 60 in a month... and it's been freaking me out all year. You'd think i was going to spontaneously combust the day i turn 60. Anyway, as always your roses are wonderful, even drying with dropping petals... and i so understand how you forgot about that email. There is just so much to keep up with these days, it's just hard to keep track of it all...
Cindy
Beautiful flowers, inspiring words, and lovely photos!
Lovely roses!!!!!
xoxo
Fabulous as always......I love your roses...
Dear June, I have lost my blog list after signing up with Google +......very frustrating sooooo, I miss your lovely posts, unless I remember...and with life moving along it is difficult at times...this post is just lovely, and very touching....yes, our beauty on the outside fades, but I concur...our beauty from within shines in our words and actions toward one another....I don't miss what is gone, I try to embrace each change with humour and good will...hugs, N.xoxo
Such gorgeous pictures and beautiful words again, dear June. Your photos always make me smile. They're like a wonderful soft breeze.
I hope all is well and wish you a lovely day.
Hugs to you,
Julia
Dear June
Your blooms are gorgeous and that floral chair is to die for!!
I hope you are having a wonderful Fall my Friend!
Hugs,
Wanda
Dearest June
Like you I'm happy with roses in any which way shape or form inside and outside - I guess that's because we are rather addicted!
Yes I would love to think and believe that we are just like ageing roses shedding our outer petals but deepening our inner self with wisdom and more love
to share with others.
Your images are so enchanting and full of utter beauty dear friend!
Thank you for sharing all of this with us. We all need to think on your beautiful words!
Sending love and warm hugs!
Suzy
What a beautiful post, June.
I'm loving that chair in the first photo...gorgeous!
I relate the falling petals to my hair falling out tho...unfortunately.
Seriously...your post is lovely.
Big squeezes to you.
xo
Well, there's still plenty of time if anyone wants to sign-up so don't worry about it. We all get busy and forget. And that email list just keeps getting longer and longer every day. Hard to keep up at times. Your roses and photos are gorgeous! Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
I am in love with your beautiful roses June....

hi there June,
I know how you feel because its been the same here for me! the weeks have just gotten away from me, its crazy! Love the way you compare women to beautiful flowers.. petals even wrinkle with age and gravity gets to us all eventually. Such is the circle of life I suppose! I really feel as though you take in every moment and truly stop to smell the roses! something I often try to remind myself to do, but thankyou for your beautiful post! so, so gorgeous and your photography really is special! Hope you and your family are all well and happy! xxx hugs from me! xxx

The way you showcase these roses is so beautiful, June. I love the floral print on the chair in the background, too. And your comparison of roses to women is such a wonderful sentiment. I agree wholeheartedly!

Thinking of you and praying all is well in your household.
June,
It's been way too long since my last visit. The garden has gone from summer splendor to beautiful fall foliage. Love the berries, wish I had some here so I could use to decorate.
I'm laughing at you ignoring emails from NaDa Farms. That's so something I do:) But are you doing it? Did you answer in time? Cuz if you did I'm signing up!
Miss You!
Lisa

Your more than beautiful images just always float me over to a peaceful place...and I so enjoy it there...and we all need that feeling.
The fond and loving comments here must really warm your heart.
