The joys of spring

This is a post crammed with photos but very short on words, as I am working
between rainstorms, which have been badly needed here.
I love going to bed at night hearing the rain on the roof, knowing that
I won't have to work to sprinkle the garden in the morning.
I did get a chance to get some photos of the lilacs and blooming trees
and wanted to post them today.

The beautiful Snowdrift is in bloom and it's wonderful to be under it's branches daily
listening to the hundreds of bees working in it's blossoms.
Such an amazing sound!

Be back soon with more lilacs.
I did post on Grace Gardens for those who like blooms and blossoms!
To enter Grace Gardens, just click on the photo at the top right on my sidebar.

Dear June, what a nice post with your lilacs and blooming trees! The pictures are so beautiful. It was a pleasure for me to visit your blog and to have a look into your garden. I'll soon come back again.
In my garden in Germany I have lilacs, too and a lot of Clematis.
Have a wonderful time in May. Edith

Sprin has well and truly arrived at your garden. The photos are all so very lovely. Is there a nicer time of year? I think not!
Here's hoping that most of this season's rainfall will come overnight so that you may spend many sunny mornings and afternoons among the blossoms!

Dear June,
Your garden looks just so heavenly, Lilacs are my favorite Spring flower, for they remind me of my Godmother my Aunt Blanche who also adored the flower (she was a florist who had a nursery) and named her beloved cat Lilac. So without trying to you blessed me with a memory gift in this beautiful post.
Enjoy your rain, doesn't it have a lovely sound when it's a soft soaking rainfall?
xoxo,
Vera

How beautiful! The fragrance must be astounding.

We got some rain last week too, such a blessing, not enough to make a dent in our drought, but at least I haven't had to water.

How lovely, June! I had lilacs in my post today, too...they are always such a beautiful part of spring. We had a beautiful Snowdrift tree for many years...We had to remove it for a room addition. Brings back lovely memories...

Such beautiful photoes of your wonderful lilacs, dear June. They really are one of my favorite flowers in the garden, but sadly, always only stay for such a short time, I think...or maybe it is just that I want them to bloom all summer. Mine are almost opening now, and as we still have a cold spring with wind and rain, they might stay a little longer in bloom, this year .
Sending you hugs.

Good morning, June!
I do miss lilacs in the spring. They aren't going to happen in Florida. :(
I remember one house in Michigan we lived it..it had a huge backyard and it was entirely bordered with lilacs. All colors. Friends came and picked them for events. There were so many, I didn't notice they were gone.
Pleased to see everything is blooming at your house, such a happy pleasure.
Hugs right back to you!

Absolutely gorgeous June!
Lilacs and their heavenly scent are one of my favourites.
You have captured their beauty here as always.
I have a little warmer in my living room that I love to melt lilac scent in...so beautiful.
I don't have a lilac bush but its on my wish list. I do have a hydrangea bush which is looking so good from after first winter being planted in my tiny garden. I've been watching its progress with much smiles. I'll have to show you when it blooms! Love and hugs to you over the miles sweet friend

Al my heart,
Deborah xoxo
