Where Bloggers Create II...

It's a party!!!!!
Well it's finally here! It's time to see all the wonderful places that we bloggers create. Whether we blog in it...sew in it...paint in it...collage in it...or just plain nap in it...a woman needs a place to call her very own. My true creative space is in my garden, but this Spring I was lucky enough to move my studio from the 10x10 room I had in the house, to a little storage shed we had in the back yard. It is so much bigger than I am used to, and as you will see from my pictures, I am a long way from filling it up. I haven't found light fixtures yet, and I haven't gotten all moved in, but I would still love to have you come in and have a look around the place with me.

Thank you Karen at My Desert Cottage for hosting this wonderful event!

I'm not going to do a lot of talking, because I had trouble with loading pictures today, and it is now 1:00 AM and
I'm not very clever at 1 in the morning.
I do hope you enjoy looking around!

On Mother's Day, my 28 year old son surprised me with this cabinet that he built just for my new space.
Of course I love it, and the fact that he made it himself just makes it all the more special.
As you can see it is ginormous...he must think I am a hoarder!
And yes...it is crammed full already.

Many of you will see things that I have either bought from you, or won in some wonderful giveaways.
Many, many special things are in here, and I enjoy having them around me while I sew and craft
and sleep.

Look how much ceiling and wall space I still need to clutter up!

Just a tiny fraction of the fabric I have. Much more needs to come in here yet. I
definitely have a problem with fabric. Love the stuff!

This table was my family's table when I was a girl. My parents bought it
in the sixties and I thought we were so rich when they brought it home. It was dark wood
with black wrought iron legs. Very Spanish...and now...not so much.

Notice T.T. Rabbit's bed. He always has to be laying at my feet when I sew.

The loft is great for storage.

The girls above the french doors make very good company.

Inside my son's cabinet

Thank you all for stopping by and letting me show off my new studio. Believe me when I say...
it will never be this clean again.

Now for that nap!!!

Oh my goodness dear June your Studio is simply amazing and looks as if you have had it for years and nothing like a garden shed.
It is an instand fave!!!
Very inspiring, love it!
Lucky you I can imagine how much you must enjoy it!
So nice to meet so many of my blogging friends here at the WBC party today :)

The only thing I would have wished for was to have this party during the long winter. Cause like you I have so much to do in the garden right now and love to create in there, that it was quite hard to get some things done in my studio at the same time.

June, it is wonderful. No girl could ask for a better place to be creative. I just love how you have stored everything in such simple containers but they are made to look beautiful. The space is filled with so much light. I know that if I had such a beautiful place you would not find me anywhere but there. Well maybe the garden but that's it. Thank you so for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend.

I've waited a long time to see the reveal of your new art space & I gotta say, it was well worth the wait! The building turned out just amazing. It looks like it belongs in the South of France somewhere in a little village. Love the loft, the floors & walls. The cabinet your son made is wonderful, a treasure that will be passed down for ages. The way you display you awesome collections of ribbon, buttons & lace is wonderful. I love it when I can see everything. Unfortunately for me a lot of my stuff remains behind closed doors out of the reach of little hands! LOL You create such beautiful things & your new space will inspire even more if that's possible. The bookcase stacked high with fabric is my fave, I don't know, I need to go look again, maybe not. It's all the bomb! Lisa

Ah... June Bug,

It was so worth the wait. We all knew it would be wonderful, but it is beyond wonderful, beyond words.
It is the perfect representation of the woman we have all come to know and love.

It is soft, gentle, pure and refined. It is lighthearted, whimsical and filled with light. You can see your thoughtfulness in how things are placed and the care and attention you give to everything that surrounds you, and everything that surrounds you is special to you.

It is you and I am so happy to have finally visited your special place.

I will see these shots next in a magazine. Mark my words.

Blessed is the day I stumbled into that garden of yours.

Wow June!!!!

Your studio looks more like a shop than a studio...like we should be invited to come shopping there! And all your beauties would have price tags on them. I don't know how much I would get done in there, I think I would just lay on that sofa/daybed/bench with the Waverly red rose pillows and dream! I would be lost dreaming while gazing at all your beautiful things. I am a no-clutter person, but your clutter is gorgeous! Truly truly...a little slice of cottage heaven on earth.

Dearest June,

My Mom said she just picked you out of the crowd, and I am so glad that she did and that you took the time to chat with us. I am so sad because the adorable photo that I took of you and your amazing shopping cart accidentally got emptied from our camera (along with a lot of other Farm Chicks pictures and of our road trip...I wanted to cry). Thank you from the bottom our hearts for taking the time to visit our blog. I am so glad you did because I am so loving your blog and all of the wonderful inspiration...it is true that every women needs a place to call her own...I need to get me one of those...I don't think I would ever want to leave!
