A woodsy white Christmas

I would like to share a little of the Christmas decorating that I have been
doing this year.
I wanted to do a Winter woodland scene this year.

We have many aspen trees on our property that our horses pasture on
and because Dale was having to clear some of the suckers
that come up in the fence line I thought it would be a wonderful way to use them.

I have been making a few simple ornaments and
painting a few oak leaves for the branches.

I know this post was a little heavy on the photos and light on words, but I will be back
to share more of the decor and things that
make me love this time of year so much.
See you soon!

I think this is the prettiest Christmas decor I have seen. There are so many over the top homes, but you have shown how sweet and lovely "simple" can be.

I think I look forward to seeing your home for Christmas more than any other in Blogland. The aspen branches with your touch of all things white and sparkly is the most beautiful white decor for Christmas I've seen. And those angel wings with the pinecones dangling...Oh my. You should open an etsy...you are so creative and have such an eye for beauty. Your shop would do so well. Will we see your trademark roses in the rest of your decor? I hope so...xo

This looks so dreamy, June. What a great idea! I love hanging ornaments from branches, but have never used a whole tree before.

The white is so serene. I actually added some pops of red this year to my decor. I'm liking it, but think my all time favorite is an all white Christmas:-)

Happy Holidays, my friend.

Wow - that's looks so pretty, especially with the fullness of so many branches. I've always liked using twigs and branches to decorate, it looks striking.

Once I filled a large urn with tall twigs and put it in my living room. When my Mother came over she asked 'what is that going to be when it grows'. Ha - it will be stylish Mom, it will be stylish.

So beautiful June! Love the idea of using aspen suckers. I didn't even put up a large tree this year as we have been just too busy. Finally got up a little outside decorating done Friday as I was having a cookie day for hospice patients. Have a little Christmas up but it is going to be a very laid back Christmas this year! Maybe that is just the way it should be.....Have a beautiful Christmas celebrating the gift of JEsus.

Oh Dearest June,
what a simply amazing natural Winter Wonderland! I know you have put much time and effort into creating your setting and then taking the photos and yet somehow you've made it look all so easy and simple!

There is nothing more special than using what nature has provided in creating such a beautiful Christmas setting in our home! It is absolutely stunning to my eyes June especially with the way you have adorned your branches. Less is always best and somehow you have proved it yet again!

Sending some huge Christmas hugs dear friend from sunny downunder,
