So far behind, I think I might be first!

You know that saying?
I'm so far behind, I think I'm first!

Well that seems to be my life lately.
Here I am finally with some things I've been meaning to share here.

Gifts from Lili M.

My trip to Rebecca's (my favorite little antique shop nearby)

and the fact that I was published in the latest Somerset Life.

Awhile ago I was contacted by Somerset Life and asked if they could use
one of the pictures of my collage tags from my blog
 in an upcoming issue.
I was excited that they had even found my blog in this huge community
of blogs, and I said, 'of course you can'!!!
I just didn't think it would be so soon.

Thank you so much Somerset Life for the opportunity to be part of your
beautiful publication!

Now on to Rebecca's.

This little shop is only open twice a year.
A few days over the 4th of July and Labor Day weekend.
I look forward to it every year.

The setting is in Rebecca's beautiful yard in Bellevue, Idaho.

I would love this urn sitting in my garden!
Maybe one day I will talk her into selling it.

Inside the little shop are all the things I love.

I'll just be quiet now and let you look around a bit.

Last year over Labor Day, I met a woman named Leslie
who designs and creates jewelry from vintage pieces
and sells in Rebecca's little shop.
Her pieces are so beautiful and I was thrilled to hear that she has
opened an online shop and sells there as well.
Leslie also has an etsy shop by the same name.
I thought I would share some of the photos I took of her pieces while shopping.
It wasn't easy getting good pictures in the light there and all the people
that were crowded around her jewelry, but I waited and would snap a few here and there
when I got the chance.
I love unique vintage jewelry, and these are some of the loveliest I've seen.

Really beautiful! Don't you think?
I just wish the light would have been better in the shop to give you a true picture.

I want to share some of the pretty things that Lili M has been sending my way lately.
 If you remember,
I won her lottery of something wonderful in the mail
for a whole year.

Aren't these little shoes and post cards so pretty?
I will smile and remember you Lili, everytime I get my keys to the house.

I just received the beautiful floral card this week. It is stunning.
My picture doesn't do it justice.

And before these, came this beautiful collage made by my sweet friend Lili herself
all the way from the Netherlands.

It is such  a lovely collage made by a dear friend from far away.
I have to let you know Lili, what a gift it has been for me to get to know you over these past
years blogging. I think I connected with your wonderful sense of humor first.
Anyone who knows Lili, knows about her interesting and beautiful life, but it's the way she
writes about it that got me hooked on her blog.
That, and the fact that I covet (I know it's a sin) her house!!!!

And now I have this to place in my own home to remind me of my funny faraway friend!

The peonies are blooming and I have been taking many, many photos everyday of
them to share here and on the garden blog.

Soon, very soon...I will have my head back on straight and my act together.
But I will still be behind. lol!

You must have just posted.
I love that shop! Didn't you show it last year, or Christmas? Why is she only open 2x a year? She has tons of merch. well maybe not anymore. Did you buy up all that beautiful lace? Wow, those panels were amazing. And the notions! That shelf with the ribbons & trims actually made me light headed.
I need to go see Lili's house. If you covet it I cannot imagine!
Have a great day June.

June if you ever figure out how to get caught up would you please tell me the secret!? I think the only bad thing about blogging is seeing so much creativity and spurring me to do even more than the 1001 projects that I already have in my head!!

So happy for your publishing career!! How fun could that be seeing your name in a magazine!!

Hope you are bright and chipper and back to your beautiful self from your surgery

That little shop looks like an amazing place. I'll have to check out the jewelery website. It's too bad she only opens 2 times a year but I guess it gives you something to really look forward to!

Congrats on having your work published, that's huge! I do hope you are healing after your surgery too. Have a great weekend June!

June ~ I was thrilled to see you are in Somerset! All of your blog-followers have appreciated your creativity, photographic skill and artistic talents for a long time. But now, an even wider audience will have an opportunity to enjoy your work. Congratulations.

The first day of Rebecca's sale each 4th of July weekend is my favorite day of the year. My husband alsways teases me about how excited I am about it every summer. But Rebecca's pieces are exquisite and she puts so much love and thoughtfulness into that charming shop. Laura's pillows, lampshades and purses get more magnificent with each show. Aren't we lucky to have this amazing resource in our little corner of Idaho?!

Thank you for including some of my jewelry in your recent post. I am very touched and honored to be a small part of something that has given me so much pleasure and inspiration: your lovely blog, Laughing with Angels.

Warmest regards ~

Now, I'm jumping to Rebecca's 'cause I'm thinking it's almost worth a trip to Idaho over one of those weekends just to see it. How do you ever get out of there without spending a fortune?? I was loving every minute of the tour. Thank you so much!
And yes, the jewelry is lovely. I'll go to her site when I finish here.

Lastly, I can't think of a nicer gift that a year of surprises from Lili! Such fun it must be to get one and not have any idea what treasure you will find.

My sweet Junie... :-)

First... I'm so glad the surgery went well and you're on the mend.... I hope you wore WHITE the whole time you were recuperating. :-) Heck, I can dirty every single day....and that's without even going outside!

Now, about Rebecca's..... oh you are one lucky girlie. Even though it's only a couple of times a year, it sure is something to look forward to....and so worth it! What a glorious little spot. I so wish we had something like that here. But, alas, the shopping stinks around here. Most all of the cutest places have closed. I'd love to be able to go somewhere like hers for inspiration. Fortunately the blog world came along just in the nick of time!

Congrats on the Somerset piece.... I'll be checking that out right away. I have everything anyone could possibly want for tag making, but never do it.... I need to be inspired. :-)

Big huggies to you dear one!
