I have to admit that I'm getting really anxious for the garden to be in full bloom. I was able to go out for the first time and work in it yesterday. It was wonderful getting my hands dirty. When I get in the garden, I can totally lose track of time. Even though it's very physical it doesn't really seem like work to me. In the summer, I go out first thing every morning to see the changes that took place overnight in the garden. I just walk around feeling the foliage on the plants and the trees, or smelling whatever bloomed that morning. It's a calming ritual for me. I know all you gardeners and nature lovers know what I'm talking about. There's something about being close to the earth that causes us to connect more with our true selves. I feel the same way in the woods or on a walk down a dirt road in the country. It's spiritual. It's wonderful. And I'm thankful for the gift.

WOW !!! what a lovely garden !!!
Beatiful colors and plants, especially your roses!
I'm a big fan of roses, my garden is full of it :-)
Have a nice day! greets Yvonne
I understand what you mean.....I feel the same when I am with my hands in the dark earth....
seeing things grow and just enjoy the smell.
I am glad the garden period is coming again, a better place I cannot imagine.
Happy easter
June, I think that I have just died and gone to Heaven looking at your beautiful photos of your garden... you inspire me! Hugs to you, Vxx

Hi June,
I just found your blog. I enjoy reading about people in that area. I do the same thing each morning. I can tell every change and your right-it calms me.

Hi June,
Your garden is so beautiful.I think we have a very similar style of gardening.I,too love to get out for that daily stroll around the garden to see all the changes and the time in the garden seems to fly by. Even now I love to go out and see what is popping up out of the ground even though the only blooms are a handful of snowdrops. There is so much promise of good things to come!
Easter Blessings,
Carolyn
June, your garden really is lovely. And your photos capture the beauty of the flowers just right. I like the one of the pink daisies. I am not a gardener at all, don't have a green thumb, not even close. But my sister feels about her garden as you do yours, she loves to be out there, getting her hands dirty, and she says she just gets lost in the work and in her thoughts! I can imagine what a nice feeling it must be. I hope weather will warm up soon so that you "can watch your garden grow". It must be breath taking when in full bloom. Have a great Easter weekend, hugs, Debby
you are preachin' to the choir here about gardening~ my favorite place to be... your garden is gorgeous, i hope spring comes fast for you.

I thought your home is beautiful...the garden too? You are goood!
If I were surrounded with beauty inside and out such as you...I would NEVER leave home!

Hi June,
Your garden is beautiful! I too love a walk in the country or just a walk around the corner yard of my little house. I'm with you, it's soothing and really makes us enjoy the moment.
Have a beautiful Easter!

I too never ever think of gardening as work. How could anyone? Even weeding which most complain about... I love it as it exposes the true beauty of the plant your actually want to keep. I am so looking forward to planting my gardens. This year it will be somewhat bare as i truly believe one should plant only so much at a time, enjoy the first year then plan out what is due for next year. I'm looking forward to Saturday. We picked a spot for our lilac tree and she goes in the ground.
Oh, have a safe & happy Easter weekend. Blessings to you and yours.
Really great pictures.Interresting blog
Oh your garden is stunning! The colors are gorgeous!
I also love to play in the dirt. I was able to plant some flowers last weekend and I was so happy. Before you blink you will be in your lovely garden all day too. Happy Easter.

Miss June, you send me a pic of your fabrics and i'll cyber help you put them into a pleasing order if you like. Thank you for the lovely compliments on my work. I love what I do and i'm always grateful when others appreciate it. Love your flowers... i have grass.. can you belive it?? Hehe
Oh I'm awaiting the very same thing, just doing it from the California Sierras! Today it drips with rains, but tomorrow we may have springtime sunshine once again.
I'm not sure how you found me, but I'm ever so glad you did! (And left a trail for me to wander back through and find you.)
I am a mom of 5 with a precious "special" son aged 20 (his precious special twin went to be with Jesus nearly 5 years ago) and three at-home daughters. I love to garden, cook, read, and beautify all facets of life! I think we have much in common. ; D
So glad to meet you. Look forward to chatting more soon.
Your garden pictures are glorious! You have reminded me how much I love the garden in full bloom in all it's splendor and fragrant glory!
Have a happy Easter!
Kim
You have my dream garden! That is so beautiful. I do understand your ritual because many days that is exactly what I do. I haven't got to get my hands dirty yet like I want to. Thought I would get to but it ended up being a horrible windy day of 60mph and dirt. Loved getting to enjoy yours. I can almost smell those beautiful flowers.
Debbie
June, your gardens are breathtaking! We have so much to do in our yard and the weather just stays cold and rainy, we need the rain too but it's making me crazy! I love your gazebo, it's like a little Garden of Eden!
