Deck the halls!!!

Today I'm joining those at House in the Roses for 'show your cottage Monday'. Thank you so much Cielo for hosting Cottage Monday.

I've been putting out a few things for Christmas in the past ten days or so and it is slowly beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. I really love this holiday season. I love the warmth that seems to radiate from everyone I come in contact with. The joy that is expressed in the songs I hear and the words I read. I enjoy the feeling of home that fills my heart with the desire to decorate every nook and cranny. I'm having to hold myself back from hanging wreaths on everything that moves. I want to hang them everywhere, including every horse stall on this place, but I will resist because I know I could not convince the horses not to try to make a meal out of them. I made T.T. Rabbit a little Christmas collar, but he doesn't seem to appreciate it much. Every time I put it on him he manages to rip it right off. I guess I can't force the holiday spirit on everyone! When I get a photo of him with it on I will share it, because he looks so darn cute.

I thought in this post I would show you a little of the decor around the cottage. There will be a lot of it that I will be sharing on the next few white Wednesdays, as most of it fits with that meme well and I'm running low on whites around here.

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving! The whole family agreed that the best part of it was eating the leftovers on Friday and Saturday and that maybe they will just show up the day after Thanksgiving. Thank goodness the food is gone now and I can get back to normal eating. Today is the first day since Thanksgiving that I have not been miserably full.

I wish all of you dear friends a lovely week!

I'm lovin' it JunieGirl.

I soo hope this finds you well. I feel soooo happy this year as last year Christmas was so sad with the passing of my Grammy (a year today). My trees are up (one in front and one in back) and I'm loving them more than ever.

God is always sooo faithful to restore our hearts to joy....

Love to you~your cottage is #1 with me!

Good to hear that you had such a wonderful Thanksgiving and start of the Holiday seaon! Your decorations are lovely, I love the feather tree. We don't have them, as there are simply no vintage 'fake' trees over here and the modern ones are shaped more like cones and are very full. I bought that Dream (Wendy Addison) ornament too, when I was in the States, I just love it! Your decorations are breathtaking, I cannot wait to see more! Have a great week! hugs LiLi

June, looks like you are getting a fine start on things. I do love the feather tree, so delicate. I wanted to keep things very simple yet elegant this year. It is hard to start out with a new color, my room is still brown and I am doing the tree in gray, so it is a bit challenging.
I am so glad your Thanksgiving was lovely, hopefully you can run off the turkey while decorating for Christmas!!!
Hugs,
Margaret B

Lovely to see your home beginning to get dressed for Christmas. I am very much like you. Wreaths are my favourite Christmas decoration and I have to restrain myself a little, otherwise I would have wreath overload. Have a lovely week decorating your home June. By the way, I like picture 2 as it has my blog name in it !! hehe. XXXX

I do so love Christmas. Not the buying and cashing out part of Christmas, but the joy which comes from the life long memories of Christmas which centered on Church activities and family visits.
Your decor celebrating my favorite season is beautiful! I have been mixing whites with cream and black. I love what you have done...it's always a treat visiting and peeking in at your house.

Your decor is so beautiful. It's the way I'd like mine to be but it never quite works out how I expect! We have been making 3d snowflakes with the kids this weekend though and they have turned out beautifully (I'll have a pic on my blog in the next few days) so I'm looking forward to hanging them up everywhere. x

June everything is looking sooooo beautiful! I love the white feather tree in the first pic, but it's that gorgeous chair you have in the background that really caught my eye!! And I LOVE how you hung the smaller white mirror over the larger black mirror and finished it off with the glittery dream sign!!!!!

I know what you mean about being full. It's been that much here as well...

As always.. lovely photos.
You have white all over.. and I'm in the middle of pink everywhere!

It looks like Christmas Decorations have exploded in my Living room... It takes me days to decorate.. and I hope no one comes knocking at my door.. or they just may be invited in to help!! :)

This my favorite season to decorate! Love it.. and love seeing everyone's pretty displays!

I like your idea of putting a little out at a time instead of trying to get the whole thing done at once, that way I can clean and straighten and, yes, I really like that idea. Your house is looking so pretty, June.

June, our homes could be twins....only I would not call what I have sitting around "vingenettes"..they would be more like piles of vintage "stuff". albiet pretty, sweet delightful stuff.

Waiting for me to decide what in the world is going to become of it..or what it may someday be made into. When I get the energy and creative juices flowing again it will happen..you all will be the first to know about it .

I just love to collect...I may have to do "counseling" about it all soon. ( laughing )
If my husband was not so tolerant, I would not be able to have my DELIGHTFUL CLUTTER hither and yon.. ...that I so love.

Don't get me wrong, I have a beautiful home too that I am proud to show off...it's just that I have more than my fair share of
" stuff" after all these years.

But that never stops me from going out and looking at more.
IT'S THE HUNT.... as we all know.
