Spring is springing!!!

This is my backyard today

but very soon it will look like this

Well at least that's what the calendar says. When I look at my yard and garden however I know it might be awhile until I see bare ground. It has been so warm the past few days that the snow is really going fast. Landon and I have been taking some walks this week and he absolutely loves them. I've been doing a little jogging behind his wheelchair and we can really get some serious speed going. (not for very long though...pant,pant)(I came back in to edit this lest you all believe I'm a jogger. I'm not even a walker really but my son loves to get out of the house and he loves going very fast.) Today I slowed down and shot these sights along the way. I love it when the robins and all the other little birdies start coming back. I'm fascinated by them . This morning was the first morning I actually heard them singing in my own yard. I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually enjoyed this winter. It didn't seem as long somehow. Maybe it was my attitude about it this year. Maybe it was because the roads were clearer this winter so we were able to get out of the house more. Winter was good but I am delighted that spring is springing.

I wish I could share your positivity toward winter but i'm very over the cold. I so want the warmth on my cold bones and for my eyes to fall upon the beauty of blooming flowers and blades of grass blowing in the wind. I am very much enjoying the bird son I hear out my window every morning. Jogging.. what's that?? :O good for you.

Hi Tammy, I know what you mean by the warmth on cold bones. Believe me when I say I really don't jog unless I have my son with me. He likes to go very fast. Thanks for visiting me.

June, once again a wonderful blog post for us all to read. Your photos are just wonderful! Those robin pictures are out of this world. How did you ever manage to get in that close to snap the photo. I want a camera like yours. :-) And all that snow so late in the season, it is gorgous but I am glad to hear that it melting away from the yard. And your garden when the blossoms are on the trees, just lovely! I have always heard that Idaho is gorgous, now I know that it is true. And those hills right behind, what a view!!! Nothing but flatland here where I am. Ah, the grass really is always greener on the other side, eh!! :-) Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi everyone! Thankyou for such nice comments on my blog. The birdie pics were taken with my camera (Canon-Power Shot S5IS) It has a great zoom on it (12x) It was a little challenging getting the pics because the dog went with us and kept scaring them away.
